Need some help

Greetings all.

Need a bit of a hand from some of the more fashion-savvy users in here if possible please.

My wife is trying to source some gothic-style clothes but hasn't been able to find much online that she either likes or that will fit what she wants. Kindof. It's a bit tricky to explain. She's after clothes but it has to be juuuuuust right and she's really that picky. She's after sortof gothic (but not really) neo-victorian not quite steampunk style that isn't over the top. (Those are her words, not mine!)

None of the shops around town really have anything (or if they do it's in some stupidly small size for a 12 year old) and she's not having much luck online.

Hoping someone can link me to some decent online stores where she can get some gear!

Cheers!

Thanks for those.

I might have been a bit confusing with my complaint about the 12 year old sizes above. She's not a plus-size girl, just in the higher end of the ordinary sizes. We've just had a baby and she's lost a fair bit of weight because of that (and it keeps dropping to my delight) but the majority of stores we've been able to find still don't stock the slightly larger sizes.

Thanks again for the link, will pass that along!

The tailor is an idea she's played with, that way she can get exactly what she wants but the price is a bit high for the amount of money we actually have! She's been meaning to look up an old friend who's a dressmaker and see what she could do but again - price. =S

Moloch-
Don't give up on the tailor or dressmaker idea just yet.
"You get what you pay for"
I'd rather have one totally awesome dress made just for me out of excellent quality materials and workmanship than five other dresses that are subpar. If I wear that one incredible dress often and fetch compliments on it everytime it hugs my curves than it is worth every penny in my book.

I am fortunate to have a dress somewhat like that. It wasn't custom made though. I found it in a store in San Francisco over a decade ago, when visiting one of my brothers. It was almost half of the allowance my parents gave me for the week long trip ( I was still in High School back then) and I saw this dress just a couple days into the trip. I was hesitant to drop so much of my funds on a single item so early into the adventure but I've been so glad the dress is in my closet!

Best wishes to you and your wife and shopping! Also, may your baby bat be Blessed with many happy healthy years!
