Why do you assume Right wing? And further, what, you think the internet is filled with people who conform to YOUR perspective only?

Wow, for a lefty, you are one of the most ignorant ones; or should I say "left-wing whack jobs". Do not assume that just because the status quo, according to (leftist) academia, is leftist...There really is a such thing as intellectual life AFTER university for those who are truly enlightened and curious...

We don't have mods, it's just us and the admin, who are almost always away. We're what you call a "free-range" forum, enjoy your stay.

Hey Portrait of Sanity, here is another attempt of the leftists "control" of the common thought of the USA Gulag:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=19jXxSeH2oQ

Clearly Ron Paul, who is the only bright light in the republican party, is being bad mouthed by a few wealthy elite who really don't want him to win....What they don't realize is that they cannot stop him....He is only going to increase in popularity.

First, Ron Paul is actually not such a bad guy and is far from right-wing. His views on foreign policy and the Federal Reserve are the same as those on the left. I actually agree with him on many points, points the mainstream right fight hard to silence.

Second, this is a goth website. Goths are left wing. Thats how it is.

Think about it. We have a lot of LGBT members here and don't forget we all pretty much dress in sexually ambiguous ways to begin with. You won't find any gays, goths, or that many minorities at the next young republicans meeting.

So posting right wing rhetoric here is nothing more than trolling. With absent mods it does give us someone to flame though.

Just know that no one here is going to take you seriously.

You can't define someone's politics by their dress sense, or taste in music!

I like to think of this place as some sort of how a successful state of anarchy would be.

Of course you can.

You don't see too many Hank Williams Jr. fans in drag or wearing eye liner and fishnets now do you? I also bet you won't find anyone in a pickup truck with a gun rack in the back blasting The Cruxshadows on their way out to do some hunting.

Since you mentioned it and all I feel like I should point out that I know more than one person who fits this description. You can find some pretty interesting folks in the wilds of northern Virginia.

I also have no idea what you mean by "trail name". I google'd it. Nothin'.
Oh, we're miscommunicating. Sorry.

I thought when you said "the entire trail" you meant you walked all 2,176 miles - you meant you walked the whole loop, or like, the entire Tennessee section?

The AT actually runs through 14 different states.

A trail name is a handle that other thru-hikers (people attempting to walk from Georgia to Maine in one year) give you. Mine was Filadelphia Geenberg, and I section hiked the whole thing in two seasons (2006 & 2008)

Tennessee is one of my favorite sections, Beauty Spot and Max Patch are GORGEOUS and the Roan Highlands? It's like being in a different country...Shit, Laurel Falls and the Kincora Hostel...FRIGGIN Hot Springs NC?

Yeah I have some GREAT memories of the TN/NC section.
