Yeah that should lead to some steady weight loss, and a healthier heart.

No! You're doomed. Learn to deal.

Think of your fat ass, then think of millions of skeletal bodies subsisting on... well... nothing, and consider yourself lucky. Lucky you got pushed out of your Mom's pussy in an environment/ country where you can afford to worry about CUTTING DOWN on what you shovel into your mouth everyday.

Well, when you put it that way... I should learn to deal with having bad health, and the like as I'm lucky to be living in a good environment.

I may have a heart attack at 23, but at least I lived in America, never lived to see my dreams become reality, but I lived in a good place.

Don't listen to Mir, Duane; I'm fully confident that you can live better and get what you want if you keep trying! The important thing is to NOT GIVE UP!!

Mir, just so you know, not all of us Americans are happy about growing up here. Part of the reason I lived overseas for so long is because I don't really enjoy the typical American lifestyle. I tolerate it for the sake of my loved ones, but I would prefer to live in another country, preferably in the East Asia area.

To add to that, it's not like all kids who grow up in America have it super-great. If I had a choice of growing up eating one meal a week but having a loving homelife to having an over-abundance of food but being abused/neglected by my parents, I'd choose the former. But hey, maybe that's just me.

At the most 60 pounds, I think... might be just 40, or 50.

Don't get too hung up on pounds, focus more on getting your body fat percentage down and getting clothing to fit better, after all muscle is much denser than fat so you may end up getting a lot smaller without getting that much lighter.

Also you should really make sure that you talk to your doc, if you haven't already done so, to make sure that you aren't putting too much stress on your body or anything.

3 pounds down, I have another question. When do you start feeling and seeing results? After losing 15-20 pounds?

Shut up. It's not all that bad.

It really depends on your frame/build/weight distribution, that being said most people don't really notice the first 5-10 lbs

Well... our family on my dad's side have lousy metabolism. That could be it, the thing that's making it difficult.

My family tends to be on the heavier side as well, in frame -and- in weight. Even if I lose the fat I want to, I am certain I'll never be a small person.

Duane, do what you can to be healthier, and you'll find that the extra fat comes off of its own accord.

I've utterly ruined my diet being in Amsterdam. I'll have to begin all over again when I get back

If I'm 5'11" and I weigh 145, by dropping 15-20 pounds would that make me look yucky?

See, now I'm now a stable small size 12 (I'm JUST too big round the flabby middle for a 10). Not a clue what my weight is. I dont ask when the nurse weighs me. I was a size 16 at my biggest though, then they realised I had a thyroid problem! So thats my problem, my bloody meds have to be highered and lowered every few months, which makes my weight yo-yo. Green tea is my friend though, and it's made a huge difference.
