Not only straight, but very much borderline homophobic.

I don't believe it doesn't explain that, at all.
My sister and I were raised with the same parents, not all that far apart in age, and as far as social stereotypes are concerned, she more male and I'm more female. There's no theories in support of being biologically pre-conditioned towards certain social pre-concepts or behaviours. No guarantee of one being more artistic and academically inclined while the other will be athletic and academically hindered.
If someone went around arguing that intelligence were purely circumstancial, I'm sure people would laugh in their faces, much like if people were to argue that it's purely genetic. I believe that most human traits exist in a 50/50 balance of a biological tendency towards certain behaviours, and then conditioning to support this process of development.
What I failed to mention previously was that I didn't think them wholly conditioned.
The last time I head of girls being bashed for displaying homo tendencies? My last year in high school. By girls as opposed to guys. Now, I'm aware of the Ancient Greeks with their homosexuality, and more cultures than I'd care to try to name. I also know of the bit of text in Leviticus which is the most cited portion of the bible for why homosexuality is sin as far as fundementalist christians are concerned, which also holds mention of being violent towards, if not killing your children if they disobey you. I remember using that in an argument against a Christian but... I digress.
I'd agree. Without a doubt, it is Christianity that has placed this emphasis on homophobia in our cultures, but leaving Islam and Judaism near enough that they cannot be entirely free of blame. I don't think many people would debate you here.
Rather than repeating the same stuff, I'm just going to drop it here and hope that some semblance of sense can be drawn from this. I'm going back to sleep.

Dis, as far as you and your sister are concerned, it could depend on which parent you each spend more time with. Not completely, though.
If you spent more time with mom and she with dad, you'd probably each have a tendency to imitate the person you spend more time around.

Funny thing about that; both my sister and I spent a larger amount of time with our father when we were younger, and as we got older, we spent more time with our mother.

Well, that blows that theory to hell.
Maybe you owned too many cats? This might explain your unhealthy attraction to radiators.

I love kitties *marches wide-eyed around his room*
I resent you labelling it as unhealthy.

Of course it's unhealthy in the end, or the front(as it were).

I've tried to sleep with girls. "It" doesn't work (if you know what I mean).
I do have a stange attraction to older women for some reason. I think they are sexy.

I'm baffled. Is this some language yet to be taught in schools?

I still don't understand this language you're speaking. It's amazing that I've never seen this dialogue/language represented in any book, or written scripture of any kind yet it still manages to spue henceforth from your fingers like projectile vomit from a drunk.

today, at work, i was once again accosted by two of the gay, male nurses. one spoke to me of all the gay pornos he has in his home and the other invited me to come to his place over the weekend to find out what it's like on the other side - an offer he makes every-so-often. both of them are fucked in the head and so i'll conclude - yes.
homosexuality is a mental disorder.

In that particular case....arguably so, I'd say.

I can relate to Tenat 2012's comment about older women. My thing is black women. I have no idea why. I should say, more specifically the more exotic, younger black women that take care of themselves and have just the right combination of sas and politeness. NOT those plus-sizes that stroll around wal-mart in their night gowns and refuse to wear bras. *cringe*.
but, if i were straight, i'm quite certain i'd be with a black woman. again, i don't know why.

lol - sorry xnguela. no reason to be offended tho, unless you're the type of fat black woman that lets it all swing to the knees

it was suppose to be taken with a grain of humor, at the mental image. not as a target of 'fat women' in general or even 'fat black women' in general, but specifically those that don't wear bras... jeeze. i guess it's a southern thing. nevermind.

I was offended only because I'm about to go to bed and now I'll be left with that image in my head to dream about.
A night spent dreaming about nipples swinging about knees is not a good night... well.. wait.. on the other hand... nevermind, I managed to turn that into a mighty pleasant image.
Thank you Existential!

I have a theory about homophobia.
Within a primitive mind sex is associated with pleasure as part of a drive to reproduce and spread your genes. Attempting to reproduce with another male is pointless. Thus the average male is repulsed by the thought of sex with another male.
Homosexuality can only be see as error from biological standpoint. And judging by existential and the other gay guy their homosexuality seems to be the result of confused sexual imprinting.

Looking at my post, it seems a little coarse so i will leave you with the arguement that all humans are flawed in their unique way.
