How Old Are We??

Just wondering, since I've seen a post about a fossil that's 31 soon to be 32 -- very scary.

I'll be 39 next month

31 and I wouldn't want any other age right now. Cute like a train wreck, the patience of a chopping block and the enlightenment of an ox staring at a palace.

I'm 26 - and oldest of my friends- "Reverend Mother" they sometimes call me - that part of my being 26 sounds nice. Older than my boyfriend.

But young amongst you ppl it seems!
"Babygoth" you call that or sth? *giggles* Aw, there goes all my revered status!

36, and I earned every damned second of it. I love not lying about my age, because people so frequently boggle when I tell them.

kog3100 recently kept an entire party's worth of guessers at bay for some time, every one of them knowing only one thing: Maimy likes to rob cradles. The guessing ranged from 22 to 38, I believe, and not one of them ever knew.

He's a cagey one, kog3100 is.

[ed. to add one thing:
It cracks me up that the oldest range is left at "over 35". Like it's smooth sailing unto death at this point. Heh.]

Sixteen, but most people usually think that I'm closer to twenty.

Well I'm only 16 but people tend to think I'm older. I think it's the beard... I had a cashier at SaveMart the other day ready to sell me alchohol...

I just thought the poll was getting a little long that's all. If requested I'll certainly add more ages.

Well I'm 19. I'm not to young but I'm not to old. I've been told that I act older than I am. But, I think that's because I hate most people my own age and those younger than me. I'm just not really a people person. I'm alot more mature than most people in my High-School which to me is very funny.

Can we find the point between "I'm X but people say I look older" and "I'm Y but people say I look younger"?

My body is soon to be 39. My mind is 1 - 200, depending on mood.

That point is the elusive moment youth becomes more attractive than experience. Generally, that's the day you become legal. Until you are 18 or 21 or whatever age gives you the freedoms to do as you please wherever you live, "you look older than that" is always a complimentary thing to hear. After that, "you look so young!" starts to sound good shockingly quickly.

I have to admit to a certain vanity in people's estimations of my age. For more years than I can estimate, they've been thirteen to seven years off, by a flatteringly youthful error margin ...

Well I guess I have to agree with a statment made on a breakfast show the other day

'your much better to say your older than your age, If you tell someone your 30 when your 40 they're gonna say, you look bloody awful for 30 , but if you say your 50 they'll say you look great for your age'
