I love mythology too Beo ^_^

When I was little I wanted to be a paleontologist, I loved dinosaurs a lot and my favourite stuffed animal was a dilophosaurus named Charlene. but after seeing Indiana Jones and going on a field trip to a dig I wanted to be an archaeologist XD. Its what I'm going to school for now. My dream is to find precious religious artifacts and get into fist fights with Nazis along the way.

Every time I go to out I have specific menu item in each location I go, and I have to order it everytime I am there.

Ex. If I go to Taco Hell I order three soft tacos, etc.

Saya, you rock !!!.

What are your favourite legends in mythology and what ancient civilisation or era of history are you most interested in ?

I`m also interested in paleontology too, dinosaurs were amazing creatures and some of their descendents and other species that existed at that time are still with us today in one form or another !!!.

Gosh, I really wouldn't know what my favourites are. I like the Baba Yaga stories of Eastern Europe, the Indian myth of Indra's net, and the story of King Shibi and the pigeon, the death of Baldr in Norse mythology, and Hermes is my favourite greek god, I like the one where he saved Io from Hera's watchman Argus by boring him to death, and then the gods vote on whether he should be punished. I'm sure there's more but I'm drawing a blank.

As far as civilizations and history goes, I'm very interested in the Edo period of Japan, ancient Egypt, Rome, ancient India and ancient China. My passion is with the actual evolution of man and prehistory, before we could write things down. Its also interesting in mythology where it alludes to the conditions of what life was like at that time, how different cultures borrow myths from each other, and how religions adapted these myths and they changed over time.

I like watching birds and thinking "they are the descendants of dinosaurs" ^_^

Saya,

At the moment I`m reading a book (quite an old one) called `Gods And Myths Of Northern Europe` by HR. Ellis Davidon and its one of my favourite books ever. Another Book that I reccomend on mythology is ...

Mythology : The Illustrated Anthology Of World Myth And Story Telling by C Scott Littleton

I have some more books but I`ll PM the titles to you as soon as I can find them in my book collection, if your interested !!!.

Certainly! Have you read either Living Myths or Parallel Myths by J.F Bierlein? I'm also trying to find a copy of The Power Of Myth by Joseph Campell, I have the interview series he did but I want it in book form ^_^

And the D'Aulaires' Book of Greek Myths will always be my favourite.

I really enjoy analyzing the eyewitness accounts of cryptid sightings from a psychological perspective

I'm going to major in Greek Mythology in college, as well as fine arts or whatever it's called. If I can't major in both, then I'll minor in FA.

The only avid monty python fan I knew died from reading the funniest joke in the world... and having his hovercraft filled with eels, whilst eating plate-fulls of spam-egg-bacon-sausage-spam. ^_^

While learning rude phrases in Latin may seem clever, you still sound nerdy when speaking/yelling a dead language

about 80% of my socks are the same so pairing them isn't really hard, and the others are brightly colored so pairs are easy to pick out
