Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Good choice, I would've chosen the same, but I'm going to have to go with "The Great Below" by NIN. Something about that song just seems to have a calming little effect that I just love.

"Garden Statement" by Hidden In Plain View. I don't think many people have heard of them, probably not to the liking of many here.
I also share a theme song with my boyfriend. "Faithfully" by Journey.

Well, if I imagine my life turned into a movie and there appears a scene where everything is dramatically turned into slow motion and I am walking somewhere or talking /yelling with someone and then all the sounds are bledded out and a song comes on it would be................"This Picture" by Placebo. Really.

I love "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica, but if I had to chose a theme song....hmm it'd be between...
"Let the Bodies hit the floor" by Drowning Pool and...
"Until It Sleeps" by Metallica
then again....damn why can't I remember the name of the band...I remember the name of the song....*sigh* my mind has gone blank but the name of the song is "Demon Speeding"

For me, it would either be "Halloween" by Ministry (God, how original!)
or "Break Down and Cry (Lay Down and Die, Goodbye)" by Alien Sex Fiend.

Shit, I take that back. My theme song would be "Mad World" covered by Gary Jules. God, what a bleak anti-societal song.

I would have to say either "Where is My Mind?" by the Pixies,
"Animal" by Prick (I have my reasons),
or "Skin" by Assemblage 23

I have put some thought into this and I have finally came up with a song that would fit. It would have to be "Hybrid Stigmata" by Dimmu Borgir. I don't know why, but this song matches me to the bone and to my every change mood.

well if my life were like family guy, and i could have theme music, i think my general background music would have to alternate between three 6 mafia (for when i chill on the street) and some op ivy or rancid or something for school. but everytime i went downtown that song from the beginning of SLC punk would magically play, or maybe some sham 69. because i am amazing. oh but every time my mom came around it would have to be GWAR cuz she likes them and went to high school with their drummer.

I was going to say that... but I'll go with "My Way" by Frank Sinatra or "Send Me A Song" by Celtic Woman.

"Fear of Ghosts" by The Cure (or almost anything dark and moody by them)
or "Fade Away" by Velvet Acid Christ when I'm really feeling terrible.

"Aenima" by Tool. My feelings of hatred for this world and what we've made of it and how we have ruined everything good and pure about it are very accurately portrayed lyrically on this song.
