It seems so. I'm still about half a year away from being 18. Does that surprise you?

I know that it's impolite to ask a lady her age, but how old are you, then?

18. Ha! I can... ummm... buy porn! And you can't!

.... Yeah.... being 18 isn't all that special.

wait - you just said you're old enough to buy porn and then, in the same breath, said being that age wasn't that special...

...

that doesn't compute. maybe you're buying the wrong porn?

Best line I read all day (Its 10am GMT and I haven't slept yet, so it's been a very long day for this 32 year old).

Maybe it's the wrong kind of porn if it's not interesting enough to you. Otherwise you wouldn't say that eighteen isn't that special and also say it's cool you can buy porn!

99.9% of internet websites are porn sites, though, so being able to buy porn wouldn't be necessary. Not that I would know anything about that.

Hey, but at least you can vote.

Of course, by the time of the next election, I'll be able to vote, and my vote will cancel yours out...

Alright, so being 18 really doesn't seem that great.

Wow you're only a year younger than my husband!

I'm 26, I like 'em a lil older.

It seems like my past boyfriends have been older than me, but my current one is nine months younger than me. I'm 21.

I was just in health services, and they had the TV tuned to "The View" where Fran Drescher was a guest, and she was talking about some new TV show where she dates a 28-year-old, and how in real life she dated someone 16 years younger than her. I, personally, don't care, but it seems like she kind of has a problem- like, she felt the need to justify herself by saying "I'm very contemporary, so we really did have lots to talk about- I like new music." It was kinda awkward. But we all have our tastes.

I think once you get past 18, age doesn't matter so much. It's when you're still jailbait that it's an issue!

Sure it is, for the rest of us adults.

Not sure I agree with the age-difference statement.
I've always been conservative when it comes to age.
At a younger age, a little difference goes a long way (right after I turned 18, I refused to go out with someone I found out she was 15).
I ended up falling in love and loosing my virginity with a 17 year-old [who "lost" it with me too], but even now, I don't see myself with dating/loving/screwing anyone under 25. Not seriously, at least.

I'm obviously generalizing and am aware that there are exceptions to the rule:

-Mr.Maelstrom, how do you plea to the charge of sex with a minor?
-I plea insanity!
-Insanity?
-Yes, your honor, I was crazy about that girl. How was I supposed to know she was only 14? She looked like 15 to me...

I dumped one boyfriend because my friend Beckie said he'd been talking about a fifteen-year-old. I was like,"Fine, he can have her!" I really don't understand why a man would want a mere girl when he could have a grown woman, unless they're a pedophile.

whoa! hey! don't drag me into a conversation about youngin's.

it was eps that brought up the statement about 'grass on the field' - something her grandfather said. and a couple of others.

not me.

i like my girls legal and mature.

You're so sweet, drgnlvr. *hugs you back* I guess everybody has their area where they're the most popular, or at least the most entertaining. I'm still the only visible goth at my school! Just gotta keep focusing on that.
