Affordable Self defense Handgun Options

What many seem to think of as much too expensive ,isn't so,instead of spending hard earned money on products that will be useless in a power outage, why not focus on an item that can help you defend not only yourself but family and friends as well.

The following list is of different firearm makes and models that most can very easily afford.

Hi-point Semi-auto pistols (granted your location doesn't have laws in place that forbid these models because of Anti-Firearm restrictions).

Any of the current Hi-point handguns can be had for an M.S.R.P. of $149.00-$199.00,in popular semi-auto calibers from .380 ACP -.45 ACP,they might not be pretty to look at but they work well and are very accurate.

The vid link is the first of many torture tests the Hi-point pistols were put through.

For a little more money a person can invest (M.S.R.P. $465.00) in a revolver that is chambered for the .40 S&W cartridge, the Pitbull (the .40 S&W is an auto pistol round,at the moment Charter Arms is the only company offering a snub nosed revolver in this caliber, without the need for moon clips)

http://charterfirearms.com/products/...bull_74020.asp

The Smith & Wesson Bodyguard .380 can be had for a bit less and is in a smaller caliber, that can be easily concealed (M.S.R.P. $419.00),the Bodyguard .380 as I have stated before has a built in laser sight as a standard option (A small allen wrench is supplied with the firearm for adjustments to the laser sight if needed)

For a cheaper to shoot, and even smaller option here is a North American Arms Mini revolver, the model in the link features a holster grip, and includes two cylinders (.22 magnum and .22 LR)

The M.S.R.P. is $284.00

Construction is all stainless steel.

For those that like a semi-auto pistol N.A.A. also offers the .380 ACP Guardian
again with an all stainless steel construction,M.S.R.P. is $449.00

Another affordable option that offers a versitile defensive/sporting firearm would be the Rossi Matched Pair single shot pistol (Though it isn't for sale in California due to the .45 LC/.410 barrel)

M.S.R.P. as quoted from Gallery of Guns is $357.00

It features a .22 LR barrel for plinking/small game hunting, and a .45 Long Colt/.410 barrel for Defensive use (.45 LC rounds and .410 Buckshot) and short range small game hunting (If used with .410 birdshot loads)
