Can't really see how they're opposites. They both have prominent bass and emphasis on poetic lyrics (if you look at rap groups like Aesop Rock and Blackalicious).

I love Discharge. I used to play bass covers of them live, but no one else ever figured out who they were. Sigh @ hardcore bands not knowing hardcore music.
