Need to gain weight

At least I think so. I haven't weighed myself in a long time, but I always range from 100-109 lb. I'm 5'7.

Pretty sure that's too little, and I think I've been losing weight rather than gaining. Are there any suggestions to gaining weight that aren't simply "eat more"?
Preferably a vegetarian way to gain weight would be cool. But in the end I just need to know how to eat healthier as I'm skinny but I eat a lot of fatty products.

Well I think you should focus not on gaining fat but on gaining muscle. Hit the gym and make sure to compensate with the right amount of calories.

Eat good fats (avocado, olive oil, etc) as well as
Exercise moderately
Up your calorie intake, and make sure to eat nutrient-rich foods (no junk food)
Focus on eating well, not gaining weight
Get plenty of sleep
Drink lots of water

Eat 12 meals a day, 3 of them must consist ONLY of twinkies.

It may be easier to eat five or six smaller balanced meals per day rather than eating three large meals, especially if you are not used to eating much at one sitting. In order to gain weight, you need to consume more calories than you are currently taking in every day.

Dude, as short as you are, 109 isn't bad. So honestly, I'd hit the gym and start gaining muscle. I take it your a vegetarian then? ...sissy. Whatever though. Find a huge source of protein, I guess whey would be alright. Sure, it's more dairy than anything, but that depends on how much of a vegetarian flower you are.

High weights and low reps. About 4 or 5 sets. Always warm up with a set of low weight high reps, follow up with some medium weight high reps, then do your high weight low rep sets.

I take it your BF% is pretty damned low, so you're going to have to look into body building for the most part. Good luck.

If the gym isn't really working out too well for you, try construction work. You'll build muscle like crazy doing that.

Sounds like you have the awesome skinny metabolism where you can eat anything and not gain weight, it'll come back and bite you when you're 40.

I seriously need to gain weight too. People always ask me if im feeling well or if im anorexic. Its very annoying. My body type wont allow me to gain weight though. Ever. Im stuck looking gaunt and sickly, which is cool to me anyway. Rather be super thin than morbidly obese. Are you sure you dont just have a really fast metabolism like myself?

Hmm I am 5'6 and before I ended up on meds which have caused me to gain a huge amount of weight I used to weigh 112.

Sometimes if your vegetarian you can miss out on proteins so eggs, cottage cheese and particularly nuts (full of good fats) can help if you exercise to build up your muscle tone. Fats like olive oil are also good.

If your worried about loosing weight it might be an idea to see your doctor.

I'd say work out more.
And eat more calories/proteins.
Not like a stupid amount, enough to turn into muscle.

You could just have a fast metabolism.
How often do you eat a day and what do you eat?
