Intro to me

Hello,
I'm new to this forum, but I do frequent other boards so you may recognize me. I'm an artist who sews in her free time. I write tutorials for a DIY goth fashion blog. I'm big on fashion design, however I don't believe I'd ever want it as a real career, that shit is too overwhelming, so I'm a hobbyist. I'm a gamer, and when I get time I often resort to a good game, preferably one with guns. I look forward to getting to know members on here, and hopefully meeting like minded crafters and seamstresses.

I figured I'd fill this out for shits and gigs

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job) Graphic Design

2. Where are you from? Canada

3. Who is your favorite author? At present I don't have a favorite author, I have favorite books. Currently I'm reading the Encyclopedia of Vampires. It's pretty bitchin.

4. What are your favorite films? Death Becomes her.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding? I'd like to get married, but I'm not feeling the whole wedding thing.

6. At your funeral? Talking about funerals on a goth forum, do we really need to be that cliché?

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die? Being goth does not necessitate an interest in your own mortality.

8. What kind of casket would you want? Refer to the aforementioned.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit? The one that my friend gifted me.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid? Halloween.

11. What's your favorite band? Not applicable

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major? Art

13. Why did you join? Waffles.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender? A vagina.

I feel like if I say "female" it somehow suggests gender stereotypes, whereas a vagina is simply a vagina. It can't clean your kitchen or decide to wear a dress, it's just a vagina

However, when you consider the etymology of the word 'vagina'... it comes from the idea of being a sheath for a sword, so it's owned by the person who owns the sword, and it's only purpose is to be filled by the sword. That's why I much prefer the word 'cunt'.

And aside from that - not all women have them. There are women who have penises, and who have neither a penis or a vagina, and who have both. And there are people who don't identify as women who do have vaginas.

You may as well have said 'elbow'.

Lol, oh I'm well aware. I was just joking, but I appreciate the effort.

Transgenders - I'm a supporter of the LGBTQ community. Although I do have to say I was not aware of the bit about the sword and sheath.

*Transgender people.

I find the history of words interesting.. especially when looking at the words that people find offensive compared to those that are meant to hold a neutral connotation.

Yes - transgender people.
Writing responses on a phone isn't exactly ideal.

Look, I'm sorry if I offended you or something. I'm not here to get into disputes. I'm also not terribly interested in discussing politics, or linguistics. So let's leave it at that.

I'm very skeptical that you didn't adopt that perspective until later on in life.

Also, hello new person.
