You're cool enough to hang around... but how about I suggest we push someone off... it's a rather high-up spot

JCC, I cast my regard upon you like a gentle rain. Get on MSN, I can't sleep and I'm sitting up watching shitty Vincent Price horror-comedies that I've viewed countless times previously.

Not true. Melatonin levels are affected more by your body clock than your age, and I've never heard of an overdose of it - in fact I believe the only side effect of taking up to 100mg was something like 'heavy drowsiness'.
Considering how fucked body clocks usually get during teenage years, melatonin probably does more good than harm just by helping people get their sleep patterns in order. I ended up taking it almost on a weekly basis back in highschool, and I'm perfectly fine today.

This is good to know, but my mother truly believes that it will give me cancer and won't let me touch the bottle. >.>

If it's carcinogenic in her opinion, then why even have it?

She thinks it will give me cancer because at 15 I already have the hormone........or something.
I don't know, I'd rather not try to overthink her logic.

Mmm. Good call.
I have read nothing stating that it has been linked to any cancer, in truth. But hell, mom trumps random chick on the interwebs.

le grrrr....sorry about the rant guys, but none of my friends are awake yet and I just gotta get it off my chest.
I used to live with this girl, who was my best friend in high school. Not going to beat around the bush, this girl is insanely selfish and quite the drama queen. Most of our friends from high school can't stand her anymore, but I put up with her. We were very very close, most of the time I wouldn't go out because I'd want to stay home with her.
Anyways, like a lot of friendships it was a boy who got in our way. She tried to set me up with this guy, and I liked him a lot, but then she decided she wanted him. He said no to her initially because he didn't want to get in between us, we had our fight and we got over it. Then some months later I got my first boyfriend. I stayed out til late and he came over a lot. She got mad at me because all of a sudden I wasn't lathering her with attention. She hated him right from the get go and wouldn't give him a chance at all, and when I said I loved him she told me I was just being stupid.
So our friendship was strained, and it strained my relationship too, she was so happy when he dumped me (he didn't like it that I let her walk all over me). Meanwhile, that guy I liked before, she started dating. While with her boyfriend of five years. Yup, the lady has two boyfriends. Her old boyfriend has absolutely no idea, the new one is aware and quite angsty about it. There was a third guy he caught her in bed with once too. That was the biggest strain there, having to put up with the drama, since I was friends with her new boy. He'd wake me up in the middle of the night to talk about here and once threatened suicide because of it.
So finally I said enoughs enough and told her I was moving out. This was in Febuary, I think. We are on a lease but I couldn't take it anymore. I waited til JUNE to move out, and she STILL hasn't found another roommate! So I have to dish out rent money for there and for here.
So because I was two weeks late on rent she got an eviction notice, and this is the thing that is pissing me off. There is a forum on the webz that a LOT of people I know post, and she posts it there that I'm skipping out on rent, I suck and she wants justice! Like fuck, I talk about her too, but to tell everyone we know?! After I told both boyfriends lies about where she was, who she was with, after I kept my lips sealed about her horrible lies? After years of friendship?
Apparently she told another friend she doesn't want to see me and won't be able to be civil around me if I go to a mutual friends birthday party. I'm so mad right now I could throw up. I was mad at her before....but to know that she'd just throw me away sickens me.
Whoops, sorry guys, didn't mean to write that much. I feel better though.

I'm sorry to hear that your friend is acting like that. It's always hard when a 'best friend' lets us down. [I've had a bit of experience with that, and it's rough.]
It might be best to cut ties with her, or to at least not consider her your 'best friend' any more, and to find some folks who care about you and your feelings [and the feelings of others].

Dude.
Fuck that shit.
She's a liar.
She wasn't testing you, but I'll bet a million dollars she thought she had someone else lined up and it didn't work out.
No one needs that kind of treatment, and no one deserves to be "tested."
Seriously, this chick is a fucking loser.

What the hell?
You're not serious.
I agree with Ophelia.
The word 'testing' made me want to throw shit.
