I am a cuter it is what I do it is who I am.
When I cut I am setting myself free it relaxes me it clears my mind.
My blade is my focus my blood is my center.
I become whole even I can tell you I am out of control
I know it I see it I feel it and there’s not a thing I can do about it.
Death I don’t care if I do die.
I don’t cut to cry i dont cut to tell people why.
I don’t cut to die I cut because I have to.
Because I need to not because pain is what I am use to.
I cut because there darkness inside of me that compels me.
To keep my hands my arm and my blade bloody.
I have to hurt myself to be true to myself.

Cutting is fun. Noone cares. They won't be hiding the sharp objects for long... because I have a rusty spoon. The feel of.... RUST.... on my fingers..... is like an orgasm. I need.... to find the perfect spoon. To make the red water come out. I like it when the red water comes out.

You remind me of a guy I used to be friends with but all he did was say and do this shit and then he told me he loved me and then I told him to fuck off and then we cut himself....

Cutters don't make great friends. Kind of like that run on sentence I just made did no good, neither does cutting.

what? cutters may not have many friends but they make get friends there real down to earth caring and loving. That's one problem the love to much.
Any way there great friends just fucked up in the head.

Sure, cutters are friends with other cutters, people who enable them, overly sensitive people, their therapists, or emos.

Personally, I will admit to being an enabler. But I got sick of dealing with picking up after his mess and taking the blame for his issues. Cutters come with a lot of issues, and a lot of people either want to help or feel sympathy.

I would know too, I was a cutter once. It went on for 6 years. And I know I did not make a good friend at all.

Cutters take things personally, and have a tendency for codependency--they get into a relationship(finally), discover that they have been missing affection from their lives, and become the obsessive, needy type. Most people break up with them, leaving them colder and more heartbroken than before, and only they can do something about it(And I don't mean suicide).

I really have done it before--not for attention, and not because I needed to, but because I'm a crazy motherfucker. I thought it was fun.

If it's asking for help, ask someone close or a professional.

Otherwise, it is most likely an attention cry. Or others will assume it is.

And I quit cutting because it's stupid. It scars the body and you have to live with that for the rest of your life. I also quit because I love myself more than that, and I appreciate the beauty of my body so I refuse to ruin it anymore. Also, those around me were watching me destroy myself and it was only causing pain and discontent.

It's ridiculous to keep hurting yourself. It's a waste of time, and not a good way to deal with crap. And it doesn't prove anything to anyone.

There are many ways to quit cutting, though you might always have the want to go back to it.

Agreed.

You also have to remember that when you try to stop cutting, it doesn't happen over night. It takes time and patience.

Going to a professional or getting help just doesn't take 3 tries and then it's done. It's an addiction, just like drugs or alcohol.
