I am beer
So, tonight was my play reading. We had a pretty good turnout, the show went over very well, and everything (more or less) went off without a hitch. I also managed to raise a pretty decent amount of money for charity.
However, due to a fuck-up via the printing , none of the event flyers were printed, and thus, the before hand promotion for the show was incredibly lackluster. On top of that, the people who were supposed to do the online promotions also wound up with technical difficulties, and didn't send out the info on the show until the day before (as opposed to a week before).
Thus I had absolutely no idea how many people would be coming out.
The Brooklyn Brewery (one of my other sponsors) sold me their beer @ cost for the event. Not knowing how much I'd need, I bought a bunch (for about 62 cents a beer).
The people who came out to the show were not heavy drinkers.
I have four cases of delicious local microbrew currently sitting in my apartment.
