I think I'm just going to find a place I can regularly set up my DJ equipment, and get a bunch of people together. If they're going to take Goth night from me, I'll make my own. Problem solved.

You'll be old enough, soon enough.
And I don't care how mature you may think you are, there's no substitute for being old, cynical and crochety.

I'm in a shitty mood.
I want to go home and hide under the covers for the rest of the day.

What was the thread? [Yeah, the bots have taken over again. I wonder if the "mods"/"admins" have it out for Gnet, and are trying to destroy it..]

I had just finished a remix that I've had on the backburner for a while, I've bumped it up to the top, but I think it's been buried again.

I had to reinstall Windows from the computer's restore files earlier today. It was like a trip in time back to 2005 when the computer was new. Then I had to reconfigure everything the way I like it; meaning that I removed nearly half the preinstalled software and had over 120 Windows updates waiting for me online. Money 2005, Microsoft Office 2003, Nero 6, Emachine's abortive Big Fix program, anything with the word Norton in it or the letters A, O and L were removed. Then the only browser I have is Internet Exploiter and I have to go online and get Firefox before I can download AVG and Spybot S&D. Now I'm running them. It's boring and I'm trying to readd all my bookmarks and find my passwords as I wait for it to finish.

He keeps going back and forth on how he feels and what we are. One day he has his arms around me and we're planning to get together then BAM! he's doubting things and wants more time to think about it. And he spends the next 30 minutes telling me how I'm "such a cool girl because I understand his need to really think things through".
I'm not sure if he's confused or I'm getting played.

I just got into an arguement with my friend, who I have feelings for, because my step-dad is black and he was raised in a family that doesn't approve of interracial couples. I mean I'm so fucking sorry your family is racist and I was raised in a house that doesn't have racial issues! Damn, it's just stupid to be like that, there's no logical reasoning behind it.

So last week the dress code at work got more strict, it had been a dress shirt of essentially any type and slacks or a nice skirt, it changed to only button up dress shirts (mainly because one person didn't know the difference between a dressy sweater and a casual sweater) so I had to go out and buy a couple of shirts as I'm not terribly fond of button ups. Well as of today I can't wear those either because we changed dress codes again, and by changed dress codes I mean we basically have a uniform only we have to buy it ourselves but we wont buy the shirts until Monday because we are all having a group meeting so that we can decide what white button-up we all have to go out and buy, because all of us wearing plain, white, cotton, long-sleeved button-up isn't similar enough. We also get to wear beige slacks *bleh*
As bad as this is going to look it is a job in hospitality and sometimes uniforms come with the territory, it just sicks that after spending money on clothes when I first got the job and when they changed the dress code last week I'm going to have to spend even more money and as of right now I'm pretty much just making minimum wage so I don't exactly have a ton of cash to blow.

That's absolutely ridiculous, Solumina. I'm sure the fickle people making all these changes never stop to consider how hard it is on you and your co-workers to take money away from your necessities to satisfy their whims. I'd start looking for another job, like one where you work with sane people.

The problem is that the last change was on the property level and the latest has been handed down from corporate (who most likely have no idea that we just had a dress code change) so I can't even say that anyone is being especially stupid, other than my shift lead who hasn't exactly done a great job of keeping us informed and seems to be unable to accept any input that isn't fully supportive.
At least they may be providing the pants and once it warms up they will provide us with official company polos, so essentially I'm bitching about cool weather shirts and timing.
Thankfully my mother is nice enough to offer to pay for the shirts and any tailoring that they may need (which we are both sure will be plenty as I don't have a body shape similar to pretty much all of the women that I work with) since I need them for work. I *heart* my mom.

I have relatives tearing up my real name facebook with partisan griping about the President's State of the Union address because he's being too positive and talking about his accomplishments of the last year. And they want to criticize the President for claiming these things when they think the last year was a disaster. And I so want to scream out that I felt the same fucking thing as we were fighting losing wars in two locations and President Bush made his SOU speeches as if nothing was wrong and he had accomplished all these great things.
I don't want to start a napalm fight in the family, so I'm biting my tongue. But it sucks.

Dude just throw out the napalm and watch things go down in flames, then rebuild from the ashes. It really is a cathartic experience, most people just can't take that first step.
