Angry Pimples, WHAT ABOUT THEM?!

I have my self many of those things on my face, and I hate them I’m pale and they make me look all red, I hate them... I go to the dermatologist, try some creams...and no-thing... can some of you let me know what you have used to get rid of them?

If it's a hormonal inbalance or something along those lines, then you should see your doctor and perphaps some form of medication will help.

Also, pimples don't just disappear. They heal in time.

Everyone's skin varies and it is best treated individually.

One tip is that to NEVER EVER over cleanse your face. There are people who are under the impression that pimples are caused by dirt or that their face is dirty which lead them to have pimples. This isn't accurate.

What cream are you currently using?

How long have you been using that particular cream and has your pimples improved since using the cream?

I have been using it for 6 moths or so.... and it had improved...but just very little, the redness goes away more quicly now. I had talk to my dermatologist about that, and he said that the cream is for the "improvement" of the face. (for the redness, pimples, marks...)

Sometimes it's because of the foods that you eat...If you eat a lot of junk food, sugar, and fats, then your skin tends to become oil making you more susceptible to acne. It varies for everyone, but experiment and see if that helps.

Ultimately what you eat has the greatest effect on your skin. Say goodbye to nonsugarfree sodas. Good excercise also helps clean out the pours in your skin. Sleep also does your skin good.

The best 'natural' thing you can do, though, is to drink at least 1.5-2 liters of water each day.

So you know, I have the same problem (so does my older brother; he's had his pimple scars for five years going now), and I do nothing to my face at all. My dad always messes with my face, and I get mad and he pins me down and does it even more.....but I just don't use cream and they vanish.....and I have to control the urge to poke them, too...or they wont leave....I'd post my picture, but its a bit clean....

cut out dairy and other junk food - take your vitamins - wash with natural cleansers - have lots of sex

wait... that last one may not be helpful

Argh. I hate pimples. I often have horrible complexion, but it seems to come and go in cycles. I think it may have something to do with my chocolate-eating frenzies...

Non oil-based cleansers twice a day seemed to help me as well.

If you're a young male, your acne is likely hormone-related. Your skin may be really oily, but overcleaning won't help. In fact, if you strip all the oil off your skin, it may retaliate by producing more oil.

If you're a female of any age, your acne may be hormone-related. If it's cyclical and appears on your lower face, those are sure signs. Changing or trying birth control pills may help.

Eating greasy food does not make your skin oily. However, loading your body with a lot of junk food will show in the overall health of your body, including your skin.

Exercise is good for your overall health, but wash sweat off your body as soon as possible if you are prone to body acne. Body wash with salicylic acid and exfoliation are great for combatting body acne.

If you live in a place where the air is dirty, you're likely to have skin problems. Not much you can do about that except move.

And not to sound like an infomercial, but ProActiv is great stuff. It made a huge difference in my complexion.

The expert has spoken! There are so many factors to skin care and why people get acne; you just need to experiment with different things, and see what helps.

Ephemeron... that sounds familiar. Were you part of the Wizards.com boards at one point?

Oh, and, um... don't poke pimples.

Wash your face twice a day using a brand of soap called "Purpose". It doesn't have any perfumes or moisturizers in it so it actually gets you clean.

Use water as hot as you can handle.

Scrub a little.

Use an alcohol pad like "stridex" to dry out the oiliness that causes pimples and the accompanying redness.

Of course, all the girls are probably screaming, "Oh God! Don't do that to your skin!" but whatever. It works.

Noxzema works well enough for me-- there are tons of special varieties, but the original should work just fine. The lemony one smells nice, though, and has a nice radioactive look.
