Who here will sleep in a coffin?

Well? You can buy a coffin bed, so would you sleep in it?
I thought of weird things when I was dying my hair;
I thought of coffin shaped things and the sandwich Alison made in the breakfast club.

I am now thinking about making a coffin shaped coffee table.
I was just at a huge hardware store, and pine planks and boards are cheap.
My current coffee table is a piece of shit, so why not build one I love?

MS paint is good for drawing up plans for DIY things. I have gotten very good at it. Anyone can be a master at MS Paint, I just played with it over the years drawing little diagrams and practicing.

I found some ready made coffin shaped furnature and anyone can reverse engineer the stuff from the pictures. No way in hell am I going to pay $500+
for a fucking coffin shelf! I'd make it. But the table is what I want.

Would you sleep in a coffin because you like it and not for the sake of sleeping in one then tooting your goth horn here about it?

I personally would not be interested in a coffin bed if I understand your question correctly. Then again..I don't sleep alone.

I like a nice big bed, more space to roll about and such, so a coffin bed wouldn't really work for me. I'm also not really a big fan of coffin couches, some of them look nice, but I'm not sure I would be happy with furniture that had a dead person on it.

I knew a girl years ago whos brother slept in a coffin, with knives in his hands and his hands crossed on his chest. Sounded too bizarre to be true until i saw it myself!

I suppose they are cosy and look comfy. I dont fancy sleeping alone while i'm alive though, so i wouldnt sleep in 1. My boyfriend thinks i'm wierd enough as it is so he wouldnt be overjoyed at the idea.

There's no promise that a coffin is comfortable. I'm sure the padding is merely superficial and thin. It won't be like sleeping on a real matress. Remember that coffins are made to look good, not feel good, because the occupant isn't going to complain.

A coffin shapped bed would be too small for my liking, unless it was a very LARGE and Wide Queen-sized shaped coffin . I like big beds with lots of room.

William Henry Harrison's coffin was roughly the size of a grand piano. That'll work for us, I think.

It wouldn't be nearly big enough, I like to roll around and move in my sleep. Besides, it would be a bit pretentious, the table sound okay but a coffin bed would be too much. Those sofas are just plain ugly.

Sounds corny, but that's probably why I like the idea. It's something I'd definitely try if I ever get the chance to, but I'd like it to be a coffin that had an actual mattress in it, rather than thin padding. It can't be much worse than sleeping on the floor. A coffin table would be nice too, really coffin- shaped ANYTHING is aright by me.
Those sofas are pretty spiffy, but they don't look comfy at all. And I sure as hell wouldn't spend 3 Grand on a couch I couldn't sink into.

You can probably make one out of plywood, using the measurements according to the mattress you'll be using, and stain the plywood so it doesn't look like a plywood coffin. However I still see problems, especially if you like to to toss and turn, you'll stub your toes on the side >.<

I almost got one, but then realised freaking out the people I share rooms with at the student housing with would be unreasonably harsh on my social relations (although it might have been very amusing the first week or so). They think my oriental vampire themed room is spooky enough as it is.

Too claustrophobic. Possibly if the coffin was enormous and had no lid. Would be good for back, like floor. Not that i lie still when i sleep...

My sisters friend used to sleep in a coffin, I think she was like 14/15 at the time and her waring divorced parents both bought her one, to try and out do the other and keep her happy.
