Drifting in on a breeze
Greetings All,
just doing this intro thing to get started here. I've been part-time goth since the last century (almost before there was goth actually). My music tastes run back and forth between post-punk, old metal, goth, steampunk, and dark strange takes on Americana/folk music.
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job) Woodwork and occult studies these days, though I used to do art.
2. Where are you from? All over. I'm something of a wanderer.
3. Who is your favorite author? Frank Herbert, Robert Anton Wilson, Lovecraft, M.R. James.
4. What are your favorite films? This week? Too many to boil it down, really. I suppose 'A Dark Song', 'The Addiction', 'Only Lovers Left Alive' could be a start...
5. What music do you want played at your wedding? Already did that. It was Scottish murder/love ballads.
6. At your funeral? Flogging Molly 'If I Ever Leave This World Alive'.
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die? Was planning on living forever, truth be told.
8. What kind of casket would you want? Probably going to be cremated so I'm more portable. I did say I'm something of a wanderer.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit? Black Hussar, definitely.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid? Free time.
11. What's your favorite band? Blue Öyster Cult, Chelsea Wolfe, Lustmord.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major? Art school, medical training.
13. Why did you join? There doesn't appear to be any local goth scene where I live, which surprises me due to it being the site of genocide, murders, hauntings, and classic American gothic architecture.
