Elegant Decadence presents Pretentious, Moi? plus support live in London

The last Elegant Decadence of 2013 sees us add in an extra act to make four cracking bands for the same great price. 10 on the door or just 7.50 in advance from http://www.wegottickets.com/event/245123 Doors at 7.30, first band at 8.30 all at Nambucca on Holloway Road, London.

Pretentious, Moi? is a UK based goth band. Created as a solo project by Tim Chandler in 1994, the live band now includes some of the best known musicians in the contemporary UK gothic scene.
The development of the solo project into a fully fledged band is only a recent one, in 2009 Tim was asked if he’d put a band together for Judgement Day which led to several other gigs outside the UK, with Whitby being their first gig in their home country. Getting the band together – particularly since they brought a great deal of combined experience, then acted as a catalyst for getting the album done.
Mick Mercer described the band as "A Goth Academy of Excellence" and the album as "of huge merit and deeply enjoyable".

Espelho Mau are a Portugese three piece. After playing with Pretentious, Moi?, Manuskript and Sins of the Flesh on their visits to Portugal its time for the return journey as they play for the first time in the UK. More than a band, it's an experience that crosses different universes of electronic to rock, Gothic chamber music to lullabies.

Nine Day Decline play their smashed-up dark emotional post-punk gothness with a burning passion. The trinity of like-minded souls share common influences such as Joy Division, Killing Joke, The Chameleons, Placebo, Play Dead & Bauhaus, making their music a dischordant but atmospheric soundscape into which dark emotional lyrics are woven. Their musical pedigree includes Altered States, Dead Heaven, All Living Fear, Christian Death, Counting the Mad, F.O.C., Section 3, and more. It's all about the noise!

Anniversary Circle - Divine Goddess and haunted soul, charged thundering bass to hypnotize and terrorise in resonance and the stories of Gods, Goddesses and monsters inside all of us. Do we go to heaven, do we go to hell, or are we part of the atheist, agnostic, organic, Darwinian plan and go to earth. Turn to dust. Do we have a choice? Or are we in a perpetual cycle for all eternity. Anniversary Circle. An existing living hell.

DJs
Between and after the bands into the small hours we do as always have the very best DJs the scene has to offer. This time we have the lovely and brilliant Psyche. Also Elegant Decadent organiser Jussard is rejoined by old partner in crime Hawkmoon to reunite the creative team behind such classic London nights as Blood and Velvet and Beauty of Poison.
