Don't you love it when an ex sends you a text message and when you don't respond right away gives you crap for it? Excuse the shit out of me for playing Skyrim and not giving you an immediate response.

And she wonders why I broke it off...

Nah. I tend to turn the sound off on my phone when I'm gaming and she sent three msgs in a twenty minute frame. First to see how I'm doing, then to cuss me out and finally says its not because she wants to get back together or anything.

So I blocked her number and think I'll keep it that way.

Finally got all of my shit out of my ex's place, and realised: motherfucker took my first installment of Preacher.

And I could have jacked LOADS of stuff I wanted from his collection, and didn't. The memory of walking away from it feeling all magnanimous and shit, once a comfort and wonderful balm for my innate self-righteousness, is now a source of pain.

What a shit Cuckoo, I'd legit be at his door wailing to get a first back from any ex who dared jack it.

DO IT. Kick up a fuss! Two months is two months too fucking long. You are entitled to a second opinion. Ask to see another GP, or even move surgeries if needs be. Two months and two completed courses of medication plus steroids and still no improvement, is more than enough to warrant a referral to a specialist of some sort, and certainly enough to warrant a second, third or fourth opinion until you get a GP who will take notice

I have always found GP's are generally quite rude and dismissive ( the ones I have seen always have been ) Which I find appalling considering how much they get paid. You could walk into my GP surgery carrying your head under your arm, and they'd give you the briefest glance and flick a pescription in your general direction for some broad spectrum antibiotics, and tell you to come back in a couple of weeks if it hasn't cleared up >.<

Speaking as a nurse - TOTALLY kick up a fuss. GPs are all about getting people in and out in the shortest time frame as possible.. so just tell them straight up at the beginning of the appointment that you don't intend to leave until you're satisfied that something is being done.

Your body, your rules.

For what it's worth, I think Honeythorn is right, MC - time to insist that they do something about this shit. I've had plenty of experience with apathetic "wait (until the wound is wide open) and see (what colour the insides are before we deign to fucking treat it)" medical professionals over the last couple of years, and have reached the conclusion that becoming a major-league pain in their arse is the only way to get the simplest bloody things done. 2 months is cause for concern and they need to sort ot out - if you're not massive on pushiness or confrontation, do you have someone who could come with you & play pitbull? I'd totally offer my services if we lived a little closer!

Had to put my cat down at the weekend. He was old and in a lot of pain, which I'm glad he's out of, but damn, I'm going to miss the little furball. Best cat ever.

Thanks Miss A. Poor little guy had a fat happy life for the most part, but I'm still sick about the state of him towards the end. Still and all, at least he's out of pain now.

My brother, my mom, and her boyfriend are coming out for Thanksgiving, they will be staying for a 6 days but Erik is the only one staying with us. I know it isn't a big deal, I mean the biggest things that I'm doing is cooking a meal for five people, I do that shit all the time, but it is Thanksgiving so I'm putting a lot of unnecessary pressure to get everything perfect. I keep bouncing between knowing that I'm really pretty much prepared for their visit and thinking "holey fuck this apartment is a wreck, I should be ashamed for people to see it, there is no way I can do this, I still have a zillion things that must be done my Monday or else their visit will be a disaster", and at the moment I'm being completely neurotic to the point were I can't even focus on what needs to get done and so I'm doing nothing.

Fuck this shit, why am I always like this when expecting company?

Are you doing a full traditional dinner?

Usually my family gets together in a large bunch, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, 5th cousins (at least 18 people but it can easily top 40), so we usually have both a spiral ham and turkey plus about a million sides but since it will just be the five of us I think simplicity is preferable and with the size of my kitchen it's kind of a necessity as well. Erik is complaining about the lack of ham but he can just suck it up. Oh and I'm buying they pie, I have bad luck with pumpkin pie not turning out right when I make it for a special occasion, if I make it just cuz I want to it turns out beautifully but never when I really need it to, so I'm just skipping all of that effort.

Stop being nice to the doctor. I remember once when Mr Bat spent months being kicked around from one specialist to another, I finally said to one of them, "Look, this is ridiculous. We've been to blah, and blah and blah, and they haven't been able to tell us why he can't walk. Are we going to spend another year like this? With him barely able to walk? That's no kind of life. Get it sorted and get it sorted now."

We had a cat scan, discovered AVN, and within a few months, there was talk of hip replacements.

Doctor's are humans. they willl let things float along unless you go in there and tell them what you want.

Just be firm. Stand your ground. Tell him that it's been two months now, you're not any better, the antibiotics aren't working and that want it fixed yesterday. AND if you ahve no luck, then get a second opinion.

**just over it. Really and truly over it at the moment. I know it's going to change, or else I'll just get past this but I'm over it. Argh!!**

APE: can I come to your dinner? I promise I'll use my very best manners, but I may have to fight Mr Ape over your honor or something scandelous like that.
