what did you do today?

i figured, some people might want to share this... so, tell about where you went, what you did, any special random things that happened...
i told my mom i had work today, so i was pretty much free from 12-7, i went to Ipso Facto and bought a bat necklace, a gargoyle statue, a velvet bracelete, and a gargoyle bracelete. then we went to this vintage store for about 20 minutes becaues i was in Ipso for about 1 1/2 hours or 2. i had a confersation with the guy working there about animals. he loved to show me everything they had in the store. he's a very good salesperson, unless he was just trying to be nice. then we went back to my boyfriends house, and he did homework and i went on the internet for about 5 minutes. then we went to his school because he had to finish his homework there, and we went back to his house where i ate dinner.
i hate brocolie and rice. it was really good. then i came home and watched family guy for 2 episodes, and then i went upstairs and cleaned my room while my boyfriend did homework. yup. now im in the guest bedroom on the computer.

What I did

Sneezed and coughed and woke up. Shivered and took medicine. Went to work. Fixed problems, bitched about people. Worked on a script to automate some annoying thing we have to do. Bitched about people some more.

Took more medicine. Stressed out about the coming election. Visited Gothic.net.

Thought about peoples' ideas of heaven in the past, versus now. Wouldn't it be funny if people now went to heaven, and it was abundent with wildlife and so forth as the old cultures thought, but modern people thought it was torture because they don't know how to catch and prepare wild food?

Picked up the wife, went shopping for gourmet popcorn and paper bags. Found neither. Came home, took more medicine, and fell asleep.

Dreamed about relatives in Texas. When I woke up, remembered half of them are dead, in prison, or otherwise not approachable. No longer the innocent, fun kids swimming in the creek.

Woke up with the wife watching "The Player". Another jackass gets the boot for not having enough 'game'. This is indeed the Golden Age.

Okay, I just woke up and I still can't grasp the happenings of The Yesterday Night.

The fact is, we got drunk like dogs, ate pizza in 2 o'clock in the morning and then all collectively went to a bus station (these days, it's always a choice between driving a car or getting drunk and goin' by bus), logged onto the internet and chatted on a serbian internet forum we all frequent.

Anyway, the fun part happened on the bus station. We were waiting for bus 75, and bus 31 came before our bus. However, in bus 31 there were these three trendy chicks that looked at us (and we were: me, dressed in all black, two buddies of mine who look like your regular psychos and a long haired brawly type - in short, people trendy girls wouldn't care about) and I started sendin' them kisses, showin' devil signs, smilin' etc. (I was quite drunk) and then, to make it all crazier, they actualy started sendin' signs, kisses and smiles back, actualy takin' my jokes.

We laughted like crazy and I was about to go and spark a conversation but our bus came so we had to leave =P...

Still kinda crazy to think how easily they picked out joke. Maybe because we were so relaxed =P.

today i went to work from 9-2 and relized school is better than work. i hated it and was bored out of my mind. one of the "leads" caught me drawing, i then went to work on my ceramics for my boyfriend and my dad, i then came home and ate some vegetable soup, and then my boyfriend went to the mall and i bought him the Eddie Izzard dvd, dressed to kill. he then said he needed to go buy the cure cd for his brother as a present, and then he left me in there because he had to go buy a present for me and i couldnt be there. (our aniversary is comming up). i looked around, and hot topic has gotten worse. it was somewhat o.k. before, but it's hardly even that now. i saw these wanna-be crust punks talking about how drunk they got at the angry samoans show (unfortuantely, the same one i went to), and then they talked about how one of them used to like good charlote, and he said "only for a day" and got embarrassed. there was also i wanna-be crusty working there. good lord. so, i got a present today. oh, and then i went to my boyfriends house and we watched "the big lebouski" (i cant spell right now... i am sorry)

I woke up, got dressed and 'made my toilette.' I got to school, went to my AP European History class and aced a quiz. It boosted my morale enough to get through the presentation by the Marine Corps in psych class without having to make obscene origami figures to pass the time. At recess, I hung out with my friends in the French classroom, and serendipitously ran into one of my current crushes, who instigated a conversation with me. Huzzah! For the rest of the day, I was positively chipper. Even the pep rally seemed to go faster.

I came home and slept until about six forty-five, and then was woken up by my father who decided that we would be eating at an Italian restaurant that evening, so I had to change out of my pajamas and put on a bra. That annoyed me. The rest of the evening was spent at Borders flipping through Edward Gorey books and Get Fuzzy comics. Now it is 11:30 and I have misplaced my remote.

Don't know if I'm representative, but with News of the Day so dominated by the sad and poignent circumstances of your recent separation, it felt awkward to throw my dippy, shallow concerns and activities into that thread. This one started out a little skippier.

I sat around all day waiting for 4 to roll along...
then I went to the Curiosa Festival...

Four words describe my experience:
I Love
The Cure.

:D

And as if, by just a total freak of nature, I met someone who is like a total carbon copy of me o_O

-My ears are ringing so loud it hurts, and I'm still singing Ba ba ba dada ba ba ba dada (Lovecats <which was ironic>).

p.s. just tell me if they should be merged, eh?

Well, yesterday I came home in 5 a.m and imidinately went to sleep. I woke up 3 hours and 30 minutes later, dressed and went to my car to pick up some friends and go to another buddy's school. The fact was, it was the first day of high school (which is, thankfuly, no longer my concern, mind you ) and we wanted to visit a buddy of ours and hang out a bit.

However, the trouble started as we couldn't find that school. Buddy who knew EXACLY where the school is couldn't wake up so he didn't come, and it was up to three of us + some shallow information, to find it.

It took us at least 45 minutes to find it. Fuck. But we did find it and we did have fun and we did enjoy those 4 hours of hangin' outside the school.

Simple things make the world go 'round

Today I am at college. So far I have had an interview for a class called "On the history of the scientific method" (which I am not taking), and I completed my registration for my three classes (I'm at an intensive study college): First Year Studies in Dance, Cryptology: The study of privacy and security on the internet (heh heh heh...), and Intermediate French.
Thank god it's done, now I just wait to see if I fit into those classes.
Oh, I go to Sarah Lawrence College, by the way...
Yay! So much done and all before noon! bleh I've been waking up way too early.
*Boring little college girl*

I also immediately recognised OmmadDawn's sig (though my personal favourite is Eric the half a bee )

Well today I had my induction day at college (I start sixth form in a week) and i had a couple of 'lessons'. They weren't really lessons, more fun related topics (like quizes and stuff like that) but it gives me an idea of what to expect. I hope to do 17th century history, psychology, physics and film studies

Skated and rode my bike at the bowl, then I
went back to work for the first day this week
and beat myself in the face with a guitar neck.
The longer I'm away from work the harder it is to
go back.

I can play that song on guitar!!

Anyway, the book "Nineteen Eighty-One" by Goerge Orwell is making me paranoid... all day I've been thinking about how much "Newspeak" reminds me of "Netspeak"... *shudder*
