If you like different alternative types of music, the Raggametal might be for you.

If you imagine Punk, Ska, Metal, and traditional reggae fused you might like Skindred.

And they are doing the festivals in the UK this year too.

Thing is, there is no such thing as new or original music anymore.
"Dani California" is "Mary Jane's last dance"
"Bohemian like you" is "Little Bitch" (most obvious in the original Specials version, not the Ordinary boys cover).
I know people like Fishbone have been making "heavy dub" type stuff, and some of the stuff on Babylon is almost the "Limp Biskit" level of commercial, but they will need that to break through. I reckon Babylon covers those who like real reggae/dub/ska, old punks and thrashers, as well as commercial hungry kids who haven't heard any better.
I find the open political nature of the lyrics refreshing too. The anti Gangster/Police/Racist stand shows they are at least prepared to say what they really think even if it can be a little contrived and stereotypical.

Hopefully, as they are mainly a UK known band, some of the non UK members of this site might get to like them.

I don't think they are overrated, actually barely anyone i know has even heard of them. They do have some original songs, but some are covers.
