My mom and my grandmom are hippies, which definatly explains all the flowers and the peace that lives within them, my dad loves old school and some bits of hard rock.

I had a bad day...

They started a social, spiritual and economic revolution during the sixties and early seventies in the U.S.

Um, maybe they overflooded the world with flowers? Since they wouldn't go out without one.

Or maybe it's just their dumb music or something of that sort, but I still want to find out!

What do you think ?!

What did they do that lasted? What benefit do we experience in our everyday lives that is a direct result of their actions, other than the music that remains ... and cherry garcia ice cream?

Oh, I might end up agreeing with you that they impacted some things, like ecological awareness. But I grew up through those days, and the pendulum swung the other way again and wiped out most of what the hippies claimed to have stood for. What did it really amount to?

Thank you Wolfie, E_E and Tenet - it's been a long hard slog getting to this point.

My background check hit a little bit of a snag as the companies I worked for in 1998 went out of business, but I don't think it's a big deal.

I'm headed out the door shortly for the drug check. No worries there ... clean for years.

One of the guys I used to work with drank those. He said that unless you went to a club or a specialty store, you could only get them in the ghetto.

I think I would like to make someone happy. It's nice when somebody smiles after you smile at them. In the hearts of the people, goodwill can be fostered by the selflessness of voluntary acts. Platonic and unconditional love shows the ability to stay stable as a people. Although, It is unwise to attempt to keep it that way. Over time the stress will blossom into a flower we call lie, a thorn that hurts people.

Plus there's Alice in wonderland with a bunch of ...er, feet (?) under her dress, and Goofy is doing Minnie while Mickey seems unaware once again and Lady and The Tramp are doing what dogs do ... I'm just glad the artist left out Bambi and Thumper.
