Honestly, this is true. If a dark-skinned person is walking or biking down the street at night, then they need to wear light-colored clothes so that drivers can see them and the pedestrian/biker doesn't get hurt.

I know but there are black people that are a lighter shade of black (still can get over the fact that people call them black people if really there skin is brown the ones that are black come from Africa, like deep Africa).

For the same reason white people are called 'white', even though technically that's not true. *shrug*

And that's why I said "dark-skinned people" rather than "black people". Really, even if one has very pale skin, it's advisable to wear light-colored clothing if one is going to be walking next to the road at night, but it's just especially true if one has rather dark skin.

I am not sure where the term "black people" originated. But it's the same for "white people" because they really are more pink than white.

There was a woman who was black that was handing out necklaces that blink on the train to other black people. Every one was starring at her it was so hilarious and she acted like as if it were normal.

It matters when I can't see you on the side of the road at night because both your skin and your colors are dark, and you insist on walking on the road instead of beside it.

[This seems to be a bit of a problem where I live, and it's quite annoying. I honestly do not want to run over anyone, but some people just don't take common sense precautions. >_< ]

Well, if they chose to walk ON the road, it's their own fault.
I always wear reflexes when I walk in the dark. True, they may not look very "Metalhead-ish"
But if I get run over and break my neck or even die, I have headbanged at my last concert. Not to mention other serious injuries.
I do not want that.

Op, go to Miami and you shall surly be out numbered in the diversity of skin color. If they are "Goths" then treat them like "Goths" regardless of flesh tone.

Heretic Oh, how I wish I had meet someone as patient as you when I was coming up in the scene and filled with Q's I could not ask aloud.

One of my favorite thing about a darker skin tone of a Goth is an even one. No tan line or freckles to get in the way of the vision they have for themselves.

(Being bi and into BDSM I love that it is not your sex or skin color but simply about romancing the Pain.)

The word "Caucasian" refers to people from Northern India. I'm not sure why it got applied to white people, but it's wrong.
