So I was going into a show last night, and got stopped by the bouncer outside. He said I couldn't go in because I had a gang tattoo. Apparently the Aryan Brotherhood uses a bunch of Celtic symbols as gang tattoos. Now I'm 6'1", and about 160lbs, so you would think it'd be pretty obvious I'm not a member of a prison gang, but clearly this guy's train of thought was still boarding at the station a mile down the track...

So anyway, I blame the Aryan Brotherhood for losing me the can of Campbell's Tomato Soup (it was a charity concert for the food panty) that I traded for a ticket to the show. Feel free to send letters to their leadership in support of having my $2.50 refunded.

Just don't put a return address on it.....

That's idiotic. Does this mean someone who has a black cat tattoo can't go in because they might be a member of the Black Panthers? Oh, and I suppose anyone with a tattoo with a pentagram on it couldn't go in either due to the fact that it OBVIOUSLY means they're in a satanic cult. Although there is always the possibility that you could come up with a way to say the tattoo is incorporated into your religious beliefs, and you could sue them for discrimination for not letting you in.

I have an inverted pentagram tattoo. If I knew how, I'd post a pic. I was asked the other night if it was a sigil of Baphomet. In serious conversation, by someone who bloody well knows me. He is now insisting I must be a satanist because I also wear black and 'look scary'. Pisses me off.

There's a bloke who lives near me, with a swastika tattooed in the middle of his forehead, and has tear drops aswell. Lovely bloke, really good natured.

It's Chicago, we're like... the gang capital of the country. I'm still not happy about getting kicked out, but I guess you'd have to come to the city to see that this stuff is everywhere. Three of the biggest Latino and Black gangs in the country all started in Chicago, we put LA and NY to shame....

Yup, when I was in highschool I was reading this manga, can't remember which one, it was in Shonen Jump, but anyway one of the characters had a swastika tattoo on his forehead, and it confused me to no end o.O then I noticed a footnote that mention that in Buddhism its a symbol of strength, mercy and love. You sometimes see statues of Buddhas with swastikas on their foreheads too. A lot of cultures used it though and it means different things to them.

There are plenty of Buddhist temples plastered with swastikas. They face the opposite direction to Hitler's, apparently, but can come as quite a shock to the uninformed.

The last AB patch i saw looked more like Anheuser-Busch logo. i thought the guy really liked Budweiser until he started talking about just getting out of prison and several references to the "AB patch" on his arm which he was constantly rubbing. Then i put it all together.

Luckily the Greyhound was fairly empty so i moved four seats behind him. i ain't exactly white so i kept my eyes on him from Denton, Texas to Talequah, Oklahoma.

i'll see what i can do about your $2.50. It may be a lost cause.

Subtle difference: Buddhists don't tattoo them on their foreheads.

And, as Cicero pointed out, it's easy to tell the difference between a Nazi swastika, and a Buddhist one:
