New Year's resolution?

Have you got one?
I gained 15 lbs this year because I quit smoking in March. So, my resolution is to get back down to 110 lbs. I bought an ipod nano so that I can exercise without waking up my boyfriend, and I am going on a wheat and dairy free diet. I have promised myself that if I get down to that weight that I will by myself some new clothes.

I quit cold turkey while eating a bunch of candy, which explains my weight gain. However, I can breathe way better now. You will feel much better physically after you quit, but it's really hard to kick nicotine. In fact it is supposed to be harder to quit than heroin.

I'm a chocolate fiend, so am a little worried about giving up! I stopped for a whole summer two years ago and I felt much better, but old habits die hard. *sighs* I was weak.

Nah. It's not the same. I miss the action, as well - I fidget anyway, and once I start wanting a cigarette my hands literally start twitching. It's not pretty.

I actually had some tremors and stomache aches when I quit. I would buy Dum Dum lollipops and constantly eat them.

When I quit before, I started sucking my thumb. Like, all the time - I'd be on the bus, and I'd realise I was doing it. Pathetic, really.

I've been smoking since I was thirteen, and smoking every day since I was fifteen. Now I wish I'd listened to all the older smokers who warned me not to start!

This whole new year's resolution thing really bothers me. Why do people need to associate the things they want to get done with the new year? If you want to do something, just fucking do it and don't worry about what year it is.

That being said, I'd like to be able to check at least one item off my to-do-before-I-die list next year. But unlike some people, who need a new year to be able to get things done, I'm constantly working on that.

It's actually easier setting a specific date to accomplish something.I guess all of us can't be perfect like you. You sound really cranky. Go eat a cookie.

I just made cookies last night! For people at work though, my fat-ass doesn't NEED more cookies...

I am going to lose some weight and tone up to get more healthy. Also I am going to write at least one song each day, after my schoolwork.

I hope to get a job, and get my depression sorted out (I've had it for a few years now), start organising the wedding instead of talking about it and doing nothing. Good luck with quiting smoking. I quit this summer, it isn't easy but you feel great when the stuff is out of your system. I got headaches and felt sick when I first quit.

My resolution is to lose weight. Im not saying how much
Also to paint more. I've been told there is a market for my work so I'm going to see if I can sell some.

Which reminds me, one of my new years resolution is to work out more frequently, especially since I've successfully quite smoking for a few months now. I need to get back into running again.

But, more importantly, I need to really squeeze more effort into studying more productively, in order to complete my final year of studying.

One more year, just one more bloody year of Uni and I'm done with studying.

Also, to be a hell of a bitch to someone who I know will annoy me for the rest of next year.

Pumpkin cookies? Interesting.

My resolutions:

Lose weight. (40 pounds)
Stop procrastinating, apply to college & funding (ties into not failing calculus)
Get a new job, so I can get a car

And, along the vein of being a bitch, I need to make sure that Mrs. Boyfriend stealer knows that she is worth less than the scum between her toes!
