I need new pants

I have got like two outfits. I am so freaking poor it is killing me. But I moved back in with my parents (very long story) and now I am going to be able to get some more clothes. I need some black pants, but interesting pants, not run of the mill. I need black and blood red button downs, I love me some button downs and those are easy to find. I need a trench, badly. Or another coat that isn't boring. Anyway, the pant issue is killing me. I don't want to look like I am dressing in my dad's work clothes. I have looked everywhere, and I mean everywhere for black pants that are interesting but not as bold as say tripp pants (which I cannot walk comfortably in, yes, I have tried them for a short while before). Anyway, suggestions on where to get some? I was thinking of biting the bullet and going to hot topic, but I can't be in there for more than a few minutes w/o getting a headache. I hate shopping. I abhor it, but I need to go badly.

I found some black skinny pants at target that were actually really cheap. I am going back tomorrow to get them after I get paid.

Why don't you DIY the trousers, and bleach them?

Actually, yes. Get some regular pants, bring in the inner seam and then bleach them out or write some lyrics of some of your favorite songs on them. You could even paint on them.

ha, I am highly allergic to bleach. Last time I bleached my hair I had a bloody sore on my scalp for 4 months after, and last time I cleaned the toilet at work with bleach I got some on my arm and had a red raised patch for 6 weeks afterwards

Use white paint then.

Hey mash I know that you are new so you may just be going though all of the threads but you may want to take a look at the post dates before replying as the point you're making could very well be moot

What's your limit? Because I found some nice skinny jeans (black) at...dread saying it, but...HOT TOPIC. They were 39 bucks.

Yes, I rarely go there, but sometimes they have nice vintage tees and cool pants.

I could never find any good pants, I haven't tried Target though, I might actually find something there. There are way better places to find skinny jeans than Hot Topic.

True but you can actually get some pretty sweet deals off their clearance rack, most of their regular shoppers are buying to fit a trend and so they have no interest in clearance items so it isn't unusual to see things there for up to 75% off.

I'm not advocating HOT TOPIC visitation... In fact, I despise it's commercial status with the whole emo culture. But hey, if I can find a decent cheap item of clothing that's remotely cool, I'll go for it.

I hate Hot Topic because they all smell gross and it gives me a headache. Shame considering they have cute panties in there.

I can attest to that. It does smell putrid, much like Spencers.

Sadly most of clothing comes from there. I try not to, but I still do. I have about two vests, a jacket, a shirt, a belt, and two bracelets which make up most of my wardrobe. I can hardly find any other place that sells good clothes I'd actually want to be seen wearing.

Meh, there's cute stuff in there I just can't stand the stink. I've bought undies and various stocking and pajama-type things, a couple of cd's, a hat, and I bought some shoes online once. Mostly they're my stop for undergarments but only online so I don't have to go in. I have no idea what the fuck that smell is but Christ it makes me nauseated, and I already have a weak stomach.

I guess I'm lucky, the one here has the clearance rack near the door so the smell isn't bad at all. I have a feeling that it comes from the low quality pvc that they seem to have loads of.
