Your name.

What does your name mean? How did you get it? Does it mean anything special to you?

Mine is based off of Metal Gear Solid 2. Dead Cell was an anti-terriost group turned terriosts. But I like the fact that our body is covered in dead cells. I think that is why people are intrigued with death. Because we are always around it. And to think that Dead Cells can be a living thing is just crazy. I love it.

Pyre -- Pyre was a name I derived from the spelling of "Vampyre". I chose this name because years ago on a retarded little game called GraalOnline I was trying to join a little vampyre guild. A prerequisite was to have an RPG character, and Pyre was the name of the character I chose. I didn't get into the guild and never RPed with the name, but it stuck anyway, and I have since been using it everywhere I go online.

My username came from out of random thought. I was tired of the usual, so I just picked a word out of the dictionary.

"Delicate torture and exquisite agony" is a phrase from a poem that I wrote about unrequited love and the agony of seeing someone everyday when you feel more for them tham they know.. it is torture to spend time with them, but you wouldn't pass it up for anything. There is also a BDSM theme running through it.

I got Geisel from Dr. Seuss' real name (Theodor Seuss Geisel).

It also means "hostage" in German (die Geisel), but that's just an added bonus. ;-)

Odium –noun 1. intense hatred or dislike, esp. toward a person or thing regarded as contemptible, despicable, or repugnant.
2. the reproach, discredit, or opprobrium attaching to something hated or repugnant: He had to bear the odium of neglecting his family.
3. the state or quality of being hated.

Just looking up words in the dictionary and it caught my eye.
(Hey, I just noticed- if you spell it backwards it spells Muido. Which rhymes with Neato!)

Minyaliel is Sindarin ("elvish") and means "Daughter of the Dawn". I was named thus by someone, and he knew that I was born just as the sun was rising. It's stuck, and I now consider making it part of my real name.

I had no clue what name to have. I didn't feel like one of my Japanese random words I normally use, I couldn't find any cool words off the top of my head, and although I love the word "fritter" I didn't feel like being the random fritter that appears out of no where. Though right now, that seems like that would kick ass. O.o

Well I liked the song by Nightwish. It was the first song I heard by them & I really liked it.

Though I didn't make it up especially for this site. In took the name from my old forum. I guess it's much better than my old names such as The Empty Spiral & Cornette...hmm if I move on I'll just go by as Sims.

Odium is now a new favorite word. I am constantly bound by my mother not to use the word hate. It's too strong a word and I can't stand it coming out of your mouth! And blah... Any way to cuss or show my hatred in a bitchy way while sounding intelligent is a plus. Though I can't tell if I spelled "sounding" right. Whatever, I've been up for 15 min, so leave me alone! T.T

Yup to both. Oh, and please, it's Tolkien (sorry, can't help it ). I never had enough commitment to learn more than enough to understand some easy texts and poetry, though.

Godslayer is the name secret sects call Yuri in Shadow Hearts: Covenant due to the fact that he did kill a god.
That videogame's story has been the most beautiful I have ever seen; I still cry when I play it.
Anyways, when I heard him referred to as Godslayer, I knew that if I were to be known by something, I would wish no less than to be called a Godslayer.
My antitheistic nature is easily reflected in that name.

Jillian is the name of my favorite song by Within Temptation. Although they're not my favorite band, Jillian must be my favorite song.
All those voices, singing and shouting, evoke a feeling of power.
I associated the name Jillian with power.

In conclusion, my name is the combination of two names I have given a lot of thought and feeling that would best represent both what I am, what I wish, and what I will be.

Ha! Thought so. I love the Metal Gear series.

My real name is Mick (named after David Bowie's guitarist Mick Ronson) and the last name, Ignis, is the latin word for for fire.

I must say I quite agree with you on the whole aspect of that song.

Rizash = Risen from the Ashes.... I frequently find myself rebuilding things (usually machines) but sometimes I find myself rebuilding parts of my life.... So I guess I just view adventures through life somewhat as returning to life, as most people view life as slowly returning to death, I see myself as becoming alive. Rather odd, but it provides some unique views into other people, thats for sure.

Mine is the name of a character in a book I really like, "The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray". When Alaizabel first comes in, she's not only posessed, but she's been driven insane by the spirit posessing her and she doesn't remember where she came from or how she got where she is or anything really. But as the book goes on, she really grows and learns a lot and becomes this really cool person. I just like how dynamic her character is. I love change, how everything is constantly evolving, and she kind of personified that in a way.

Alaizabel I figured out what your name was derived from last night when I was reading!!!! So it was cool that this post popped up because I already knew where yours was. It's a book from Push. Anyways....

My name was sort of just created. I like the color crimson, it's my favorite color. I guess I like the idea of crying crimson tears instead of clear ones. I don't know why, I'm sort of random that way.
