Ravena: You're working on writing out the first five books of The Bible with latex gloves on?

Asurai: So? *removes a glove* With A glove. *grasps pen in ungloved hand. begins to write. stops. picks up discarded glove. murmurs something about a condom. begins to blow glove up** Fucker! There's a pinprick in this glove. It won't blow up. *roots around in drawer for tape*

R: *stifles laughter*

A: What? *blows up glove, locates offending hole, and tapes accordingly*

R: I said nothing.

A: Don't fuck with tape. *looks at fixed hole with satisfaction. blows up glove. tries to tie it off. gets pissed. drops glove on carpet* Get in the kitchen and make me some fucking cookies. And they had better not be too crispy.

R: What kind of cookies?

A: Use your imagination. *begins writing again. mutters random Latin words*

ah, teapot - that visual is fantastic (not the lemon seeds). you're a veritable artist with the written word. the way you describe the act (not the lemon seeds) brings a tear to my eye and a tightness to my shorts.

bravo!, miss teapot. bravo!

SPOKANE — A Spokane woman trying to divorce her estranged husband two
years after he was jailed for beating her has been told by a judge she can't get
out of the marriage while she's pregnant.

The case pits a first-year attorney who argues that state law allows any couple
to divorce if neither spouse challenges it against a longtime family-law judge
who says the rights of the unborn child in this type of case trump a woman's
right to divorce.

"There's a lot of case law that says it is important in this state that
children not be illegitimized," Spokane County Superior Court Judge Paul Bastine
told The Spokesman-Review newspaper.

Further complicating things, Shawnna Hughes says her husband is not the child's
father.

The judge argued that the paternity of Hughes' child needs to be determined
before a divorce is finalized.

But the bottom line, says Hughes' attorney, Terri Sloyer, is that there's
nothing in state law that says a woman can't get a divorce if she's pregnant.

"We don't live in 15th-century England," Sloyer said. "I am absolutely
dumbfounded by it."

Hughes' husband, Carlos, was convicted in 2002 of beating her. She separated
from him after the attack and filed for divorce last April. She later became
pregnant, and her baby is due in March.

Her husband never contested the divorce, and Court Commissioner Pro Tem Julia
Pelc approved it in late October.

However, the approved divorce papers didn't note that Hughes was pregnant.
Sloyer filed amended papers to correct the omission, and the next day, she spoke
with the judge by phone. Bastine said he planned to rescind the divorce, and
then did so after a Nov. 4 hearing.

"It's not the child's fault that mom got pregnant," Bastine said. "The answer
is, you don't go around doing that when you're not divorced."

Sloyer has appealed.

"This is a very dangerous precedent to set — particularly in this case,
with a woman who is a victim of domestic violence," Sloyer said.

In comments submitted to Bastine, Hughes said: "If this court vacates my
divorce and requires me to stay married to a man I have no desire ever to have a
relationship with and who has brought significant physical harm to me over the
years, I would be emotionally devastated. If the court vacates my divorce and
stays it until the birth of my child, it will prevent me from marrying the
father of my child prior to her birth."

The state's Uniform Parentage Act sets the rules on who cares for children,
including those not yet born in cases of divorce. A husband is presumed to be
the father of any child born up to 300 days after a divorce.

"One of the problems here was that the child was not made party to the
litigation," Bastine said. "There are statutory provisions that deal with
paternity. Those are the statutes that are critical ones that determine the
rights of the child."

Hughes has stated in court records that the father is her boyfriend.

"She has the right to divorce and be free to marry whoever she wants," Sloyer
said. "It's about the choice, the fundamental right to choose."

James Hardisty, a professor at the University of Washington School of Law, said
he had never heard of a judge rescinding a divorce because of a woman's
pregnancy. But he noted that a 1981 state Supreme Court ruling gives courts the
right to put divorces on hold when matters like child custody and division of
property still need to be resolved.

Now that is some fucked up shit!

It still astounds me for some reason to see what an idiotic, puritanical society we live in.

It's more important that a child isn't born a bastard than a woman suffer physical harm from her husband?Honestly, how little have we, as a society, grown over the centuries?

So as of recent I have come into a shitload of money. A lot.

I need a new car, and I am going to be paying cash for it, but I just cannot decide on what to get.

I can afford the top o the line, but I just assume keep it reasonable and get something $15,000 and under. Manimal, God bless his heart, is trying to help me decide, but it's still tough.

Oh and I have a McFarlane Alien vs Predator figure set here at one of my desks at work, and someone thinks it's funny to position them in all kinds of nasty ways. They are hard to setup, so whoever is doing this is only fueling my rage.

Also they make my Godzilla join in.

i'm partial to pontiac, myself although dodge and chrysler are churning out some kick-ass autos these days. honda or toyota would give the longest bang for the buck, provided you kept up with maintenance, like dcreep.

if i could afford it, i'd love having a liquid black dodge magnum right alongside a black grand am sc/t. the grand am takes priority, though.

I have been eyeballing the Magnum, although it is in the $31,000 range, which I can afford, but me being me I have issues spending that much on any one vehicle.

Kinda looking at Neons again. My last one treated me great, and I'd still have it had that drunk not totalled it. :x

I am trying to learn how to drive. I have one of those learn to drive books that I read in Math class. Did you know that here in Canada you have to park at least 5 m away from a fire hydrant?? Yepp, that's what I learnt in Math yesterday. And that's about it.

Right now I am in the library for English class. We are suppose to be working on our song analysis mini-essays, but I am reading winged_dreams Fiction Press stories. They are pretty good. Let's just hope I don't get caught!

Some guy just came by and asked me what my favorite fruit is. Why, its a pineapple of course! They are so exotic looking. And they are quite tasty too. I was actually "turned into" a pineapple by Disfuction one day while he was building his cloud empire, lol. It was quite funny. He started it.

here in the states, depending on which one you live in but for the most part overall, the distance one needs to be from a fire hydrant = 10 feet, so there's only a shade of difference between our countries in that respect.

and be careful when disfunction starts turning you into a pineapple - there's something diabolical in that, i'm sure of it.

No actually I'm quite ecstatic!! *dances around in happiness* On a random note, it's fun being able to see what porns people rent. Sometimes I love working at a video rental store!!

Winged, I love your stories!! I would have read them all but the class ended and I had to go lol. Fiction Press is an awesome website, there are some really good stories on there. I'm addicted to it. I could PM you links to some of my favorite stories from there if you would like.

And yes edible, he was being very diabolical. So not only did he turn me into a pineapple, he used me to hit people on the head, then he took their clouds. It was horrible. THEN... if being an accomplice in his evil scheme wasn't enough... he ATE my pineapple boyfriend!! Gosh how horrible is that!! But it's all good now, I turned myself into a dragon and burnt his hair off!!! So now I have my cloud back and I am the Governor of it!! Like I said... he started it. It wasn't me who came up with this craziness. All him!!

Seriously, where do these people find me? Complete strangers add me on MSN out of nowhere and I always accept them and I'm naieve enough to talk to them in the hope that this is a semi-intelligent and/or nice person.
Today I was added on MSN by some 26-year old blond part-time prostitute from Rotterdam, who's been trying all day to drag me to Rotterdam to become a prostitute as well and keep her company... And while our conversation amused me to no end, it does get a bit annoying that I'm always added by people like this and so very rarely by a person that I actually like.
My list is already becoming too full, so soon I'm going to toss everyone out who added me out of nowhere just to ask me 5 times a day if I can send them sexy pics and films of myself. The only reason I haven't done that yet [blocking and removing them, that is], is because it actually makes me feel guilty. Like I hurt their feelings... :x It makes no sense whatsoever, but yeesh. >_<

You think that's odd?I still can't get this chick to stop trying to view my webcam from like 3 years ago!!!Not that I'm ever on YIM anymore, but that's one of the reasons.Plus all these guys that pop up sayin' "hey,I'm into 3-somes too!".But as it plainly states in my profile I'm married and we're looking for chicks to play around with, sheesh!!
