CNN.com revamped their website. It's now quite excellent, and makes covering the world news much easier.

Yes, I'm a newsgeek, and this made my day.

I just tried doing yoga tonight, which I haven't done in about six months, and have lost next to no flexibility.

Yay!

Finding this absolutely made my day. Don't know if It should be posted here or in politics, but it still fits.

This red cappuccino thing I'm drinking is DIVINE.
I'm having a rather productive morning, and that makes me happy. I'm also looking to get another kitten. *squee*

Got a 2 hour long talk with a female artist with a worldview that rocked my goffic socks. That certainly made my otherwise quite boring day.

The red velvet cupcake I have in my hand. Sadly, this was the highlight of my day.

Thumbs up

We're having 'severe weather' here, being freezing cold rain and 40 mph wind gusts, (not to mention lightning strikes). The electricity went out in the building where I work and I couldn't see my way to my car. Upshot: The wind blew my name tag off which I did not know until I got all the way home, and which would preclude my getting into my job site tomorrow (not allowed on campus without it). So I called security dispatch. Fortunately, my favorite security guard is on tonight. He very kindly braved the awful weather and went out to the parking lot, and found my name tag! He then called me back and told me he left it in a secure place for me for tomorrow, and jokingly added that I should call his boss and tell him what an 'excellent' person he is -- so I did.

Jaye, good idea making that call. When someone goes out of their way like that to help you out of a jam, they should be acknowledged and appreciated.

I'm glad you got the help.

Art - today I finished painting number two, out of a series of seven I'm doing.
I'm also really excited about the tarot collaboration project I'm going to be starting (this weekend?)

TONIGHT IS VOLTAIRE. Should be an awesome show; I'm not REALLY into his music, but he's a great performer.

Just been informed that as of an hour ago, I have another niece. Which is great, except that they're calling the poor kid Donata.

Fucking DONATA.

I'm calling her Donna, I don't care if her high-strung mom shoots liquid outrage from her eyeballs, mouth & vagina all at once.

Despite the fact that it sounds like a charity for blood transfusions, she's not my baby so there is unfortunately very little I can do about it, except beg my brother to reconsider before they get the birth certificate fixed up. Which I've done by text as the fucker isn't answering his cell.

He hasn't replied, I'm pretty sure I've pissed him off.
