Oh dear. I stayed up all night. It's just too easy to do that. Now I get to face the selection of either going to blissful sleep, and missing the whole day, or staying up and zombieing around all day. Or, I could sleep two hours, and still feel like crap. I was on a productive binge all night, it felt great. If only I could sleep for twelve hours and still be able to wake up at five a.m.

Sometimes when you live in a place you become blind to the wonders around you, no matter how awesome they may be. Sure the really big attractions still pop into your mind but that's mostly thanks to advertising and they start to seem less impressive after a while. One of my favorite parts of my job is getting the chance to search out and remind myself of all that the area offers.
On a related note: Jake and I will be visiting the Norfolk Botanical Garden on Sunday cuz I’ve never been.

Thanks
It'll be on the 27th of June
I'll post pictures.
Meanwhile on my vacation, i'll be doing lots of reading :P
Any suggestions would be appreciated, anything within the fiction, thriller, dysutopian genre

Tomorrow I have my first summer class. It's online, but I really prefer classes to be in the flesh. Meh.

But you can go to school in your PJ's - I love correspondence courses, but I have to have paper based subjects, because I like the feel of books.

I like actually going to class, but it was not possible to take 3 classes in person this summer. I guess there is something to be said for being able to show up to class in various stages of un/dress?
I like the smell of olde books. I have a book of Shakespeare's complete works printed in 1937. It has a slightly musty, distinctly 'book' smell(olde paper, binding agents, olde leather) and a faint, underlying aroma of cigar or pipe smoke.

I agree. I'm taking four correspondence courses over the summer and its hard to motivate myself to adhere to a schedule. I'm ahead in my reading for my anthropology course but the other courses are kinda getting neglected >.> Serial killers are just a little more interesting than "what is morality?"

My ass is too lazy to adhere to a schedule on my lonesome. I'd be more interested in studying serial killers, too. Actually, I often wonder while watching biography's and shows about them what the hell goes on in their minds. Is it chemical or biological?
I feel like I get more out of face to face interactions with teachers and other students. It is a bit more stressful in person, but it pays off academically.

My oldies used to have an old pipe that I think a grandparent smoked. As a kid I loved sniffing it - loved the smell of pipes (tobacco pipes)
But yeah the smell of old books is pretty cool.
Oh and correspondence courses are the best! I love them and I'm a procrastinator from way back. Just go through your work and set your deadlines a week before they are due, then work you butts off to meet the 'new' deadlines and you have a week to proof your assignments.

Ah-Ha the dog got an unrelated illness, but maybe it isn't. Maybe she fell on him when I was sleeping in late.

So there is a major funk happening here at the moment... all hte girls at the gym were talking about it, as they were admiring one of the girl's blackeyes from boxing class.
Been trying to get that light deep inside to catch again.. I think it's caught.. I'm batty again... Woohoo.

Geol - double sigh.
That's adorable.
It's so cold here, it could freeze the knickers off a footballer.

Yes, the football knickers industry is in danger. It is a warm 80 degrees here.

Those owls are too cute and yes, their love life is better than mine.
Correspondence lasses really are the best, unless your professor never returns your emails with vital information on how to complete a portion of the course. I prefer being in person, but it's hard to schedule around working retail.

I'm jealous. It's so cold here my fingers are too stiff to type (makes for a lot of backspace usage).
Man I'm heading north again.
Oh got two book covers done, and have got the wood for my vegie garden, and am hit with a major dose of procrastination.
Am proud to annouce that I have lived with a huntman in the house for two weeks. He's taking a self-guided tour of the house - started in the kitchen, and is now in the bedrooms. I told him he can't miss the spectacle that is the bathroom.

Buster is fine. No one fell on him. There is a problem affecting his breed at two years old. He is fine after a weekend of treatment at the vet.
