And as if you have room to talk?
Grow up and take some spelling and grammar classes.

Not all goths follow the devil , some r christians, catholic, jewish, buddist, etc.
but most ppl like to follow the stereotypes and thats why ppl reject goths.

^ And here I thought some folks reject Goths [unfairly] because of Columbine, or sensationalist news stories, or an unrealistic fear of the color black and skulls/bats/spiders.

Not all old people. I go to church with a lot of old people, and dress Goth when I go.
No one's said anything rude or mean to me yet. Not so much as even an offended sniff. In fact, most of the time, I get complements.
Also, my dad is old, and he doesn't care; he was in his 70s when he got his ear stud. So...yeah.

In my heart I always knew I was something 'other' than the usual.
Only problem was that I didn't know about 'goth' until a few years ago. Til then it was just adolescent melancholy & trying to fit in to whatever.
I had my metal phase in the late 80s but I wouldn't consider that 'gothic' any more than my early 80s New Romantic phase or my flirtation w/ blues rock in the 90s.
You might be born 'gothic', but you have to realize for yourself as something true rather that just joining a now-popular bandwagon.

I don't think you're born with it.
Perhaps you're born with a type of attitude (personality has been proven to be partially genetic) that fits well with goths, but there's nothing in genetics that predisposes people to wear black.
Its a fashion, its a music genre, that's all there is to it.

I started showing gothic tendencies at a very you age (7 or 8), I remember after school I would often sneak into the elementary school library to wait for my mother to pick me up. I would head straight for the picture books on old horror movies ("The Blob", "Dracula", "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" etc). I didn't start using that label for myself until college, but my stepmom had correctly identified me by the time I was thirteen (which led to me getting a most excellent copy of "Dracula" for my birthday).
I don't think I was born goth per se, but I agree with the idea of predisposition to certain personalities. Either that or it was my mom's influence - when I was really young (age 4), she was stationed in England and had me and my brother with her. On her days off, she'd take us around to all the castles and abbeys and collect rubbings off the gravestones. She's a goth at heart.

I think it was growing up in a creative yet abusive family of tortured artists
prone to melancholy and extreme states of joy...maybe that's why I am bi polar!
