Knitting

So I just started knitting and I have no idea what to knit. I've already made a scarf and I don't like hats...anyone got any ideas?

Make a shawl. Or a beanie cap.

This might be a little ambitious for a beginning knitter, but I love this sweater:

You might want to check out Knitting Punks in Yahoo groups, too.

My Nan taught me to knit a few years ago, I'm making a huge blanket made out of lots of little squares. Its taken longer than I thought it would.

Try making sock-slippers. My mom made me a pair about a year ago out of yellow wool and they were the most comfortable thing ever.

I've discovered that if you use a light-to-mid-weight crochet thread and size 4-5 knitting needles, you can make a material almost like fishnet. (This is using the basic stockinette stich or whatever it's called when you knit a row, purl a row, knit a row, purl a row, etc.) I plan to make myself a shirt... will take photos if it turns out nicely.

I've been knitting since I was a kid.

I knit... but I suck something awful at it... I'd love to learn to crochet, though.

I knit!!!! I've been knitting since I was quite young, my mom taught me how. (How cute lol)

All I do is scarves. I tried to do mittens once, I think I posted about it on the randomness thread. I messed up on the thumbs. I used to knit alot but now it hurts my fingers to do it for long periods of time so I do a couple rows a night when I feel like it. I am working on a blue scarf right now, it will probably be done for next winter lol.

I have some sock and mitten patterns somewhere, if anyone wants them just email me or something.
