If I ever have a son I'm naming him Vyvyan, there's no way out of that one. Yes, after the character in the Young Ones.

Other boy's names I like are Alexander, Christian, Daniel, Rozz, and Davey (Davey Havok has nothing to do with that one, I swear...).

For girls... hmmm... Fiona, Alexandra, Claire, Lydia, or Catherine.

Justine
Frøya (norwegian traditional love goddess)
Annabelle (or just Belle)
Artemis
Vittoria (absolutely adore this name)

Ophelia

Boys:

Frøy (norwegian fertility god)
Odin
Loke
Pierre
Peter (german pronunciation, please)
Victor

I know there are some I've forgotten...Ah well.

For a girl:
Ursula (my favourite!)
Blanca
Lilith
Luna
Morgan
Elisabeth

For a boy:
Eric
(I haven't thought about boy names, because I don't plan on having a boy :])

Lucifer sounds great! Why didn't I think of that?

Good goth Very nice idea for a thread. I'd like to say Vyvian, Andi, Vittoria, Lucifer, Alice, Christian, ROZZ, Ursula, Nik, Georges, Marquis, Raven, Jillian. And the reason I didn't distance the boys from the girls is because I think any of these names would fit either.

Good idea . And I love the Young Ones. Though for the record if I were ever to have two daughters, I'd name them Minyaliel Vittoria and Alison, for memory's sake.

Ooooh, these are some very swish names (even if they might get the little darlings throttled at school... >_> ).
I've always found it easier to come up with swish girls names for some reason.
Maybe it's a man thing. O_o

Amelia strikes me as a rather nice name.
Very elegant.
As is Isabelle.

As for boys... Eh. I'd have to investigate some more classical tales.

Also, even if someone thinks that Lucifer is a great name you'd seriously have to take into consideration the public backlash.

I've always liked the name Baby Lane for a girl. Kind of cheesy, but oh well.
Other than that, for girl's names I like:
Quinn
Dahlia
Nico
Fayre

Boy's Names
Gabriel
Jussi
Jesse

I'm really glad to see allot of older classics on here. Thats what I'm really into myself. (Some modern names to, Like Raina)

Minyaliel, a Lady on my website just had a baby and named her Vittoria. I'm pretty sure the middle name is Pearl. Vittoria Pearl.

all of my favorite names are of people I have known or of characters in books...otherwise a name is just a name. for me it needs an association.....

Adrian
Saul
Guenivire
Gwen (NOT Gwen Stefani!)
Judith
Morrigan

...there are probably many more, but I am not much of a name person.

Aww... *feels flattered*

Kitten - that's pretty cool. Old names are so elegant...

I ran across another name recently, Wilhelmina, which I'd add to my list in retrospect. I think I'm starting to get an addiction to names - it's odd, but quite interesting, really, especially considering how much the choice of names says about the time and the family in question.

Obviously my favorite girl name is Ophelia, but a very very close second is Vincent. Yes, for a girl. My favorite poet is Edna St. Vincent Millay, so if you know anything about her, there you go.

All my kids will be called Jeb, regardless or gender. I'm going to do tests on them, such as leaving one in a room for twelve years, playing nothing but Berserker songs and occasionally throwing it some raw meat. I'm hoping that when I talk to it twelve years down the line, it can only speak with a really loud growly voice.

LMAO.

Bubba would be funnier. Or Bubba-Jeb. One of those really rednecky names.

I'm also going to take insane amounts of crack, and have a crack baby, hopefully cross-eyed and piebald that I will train to do nothing but sit on a rock and play banjo.

Badly.

I love the name Lucifer. It means Morning Star, and the angel Lucifer was named for his beauty, which makes the name all that more attractive.

I also like the names:

Angel (for a boy)
Xavier (that's Zavier, not that dreaded Ex-avier)
Camilla
Isadora
Eve
Björn (pronounced Bee-ern)

I know there's more...

Oh yes! And Sufjan (Soo-fee-on ... I'm horrible at describing pronunciation).

...

Oh yeah, and after watching Lady in the Water, I sort of fell in love with the name Story.
