I've got it Tivo'd, which means I'll probaby get around to watching it this weekend. I saw that there's a cover of "Love Will Tear Us Apart" - makes me a bit nervous. If gothboy turns out to be some rabid killer, I'll be pissed off. I think, instead, he should have a one-off with the lovely Prentiss, who looks like she's swinging the corporate goth look most of the time anyway.

I watched it... ehhhh... there was stuff in the episode that bothered me. I'll refrain from going into detail just yet in order to avoid spoiling it for people...

While I watched I was wondering, "wonder what the all the 'vampyres' out there will think about this..." I still do.

I feel inexpressibly fortunate to not know any 'vampyres'.

So I watched it last night, and I suppose it could have been worse. I didn't like the implied accusation of insincerity in goth dress or the lack of examples of non-fucked-up goths, and I think any slights against the subculture could have easily been balanced by further developing the dark-haired female agent's healthy ties to it (they hinted broadly, but missed the opportunity to show her as a well-adjusted adult goth). Well, all I can say is that I've certainly felt more dismayed or offended by other mainstream shows. This one wasn't horrible.

I downloaded it and I'm watching it right now.

It reminds me of that stupid film, 'Queen of the Damned', based on the Anne Rice book.

Yeah I wasn't too crazy about some of the misused stereotypes, but I agree it could've been a lot worse...

Heh, I have booked pretty much ever major goth artist out there over the years as well as threw some of the largest CD release parties for many of the same artists. None have ever been flown in by helicopter to a penthouse pool party.

The best we could hope for is free beer at the local gawth club sure.
