Ugly new advertisement banner!!!
UGH!!!! Have you guys seen the new banner at the top of the page for that new AFI album? I actually listened to some clips from it and it sounds like Green Day. I have never understood their appeal. Anyway.......it's ugly, the album sucks, and Davey Havok is one ugly mofo. OoOo..............it's going to be released on 6/6/06. How spooky! Be still my beating black bat heart! *rolls eyes*
I wonder how much money the owner(s) of this site got paid to put that up......There will be an MTV logo on here next probably.

They annoy the hell out of me. Their music is generic and their whole goth/emo persona is so tired. They are as goth as a burnt Pop Tart.

The remake of The Omen is being released on the exact, oh-so-gawth date.
Well, at least, that's when it's being released in here.

I'm going to go see that. The original is one of my favorite horror movies so I am going to give it a chance. It makes more sense for a horror movie to be released that date than a faux emo/goth band album that sounds like typical MTV punk pop poo.

Yeah, I know that it makes sense; it's actually good publicity, since people will think of it when they think of 06/06/06.Actually,I've just remembered it when I saw the ad banner, and when I read your post;that's why I mentioned it.

Aww, this is sad. I love AFI. "Sing the Sorrow" unfortunately dragged them downhill, and I'm thinking of skipping "Decemberunderground" altogether, but I'll always love "The Art of Drowning".
And in their defence, the date is only 6/6/06 because it was a Tuesday in the beginning of June - not for any goffik meanings. It was released just a few days ago in the UK, and I doubt there's any spookiness in 29/5/06.
Though I agree, their banner doesn't belong on this site. The record label is obviously making some bad decisions on which demographic to market to.
Back to the topic at hand though... Rice Bubbles are the gothest breakfast - but only if you do the most extremely non-conformist thing you can do and have them WITHOUT MILK!

A not-very-gothy yet strange and delicious breakfasts is hamburgers. I'm not fond of cereal so I tend to have two dinners.......because everyone knows dinner is the gothest meal of the day

You'd have to burn the burgers for them to be goth. Burn them until they're as black as your deep, dark soul.
In all seriousness, my usual breakfast is a large cup filled with no less than twelve spoonfuls of Milo, with about 3/4 of a litre of milk added to it (gradually, since no cup I own can hold that much at once).
I think I've become immune to the extremely sick feeling it gives most people to finish it off.

The goth-iest breakfast ever is some random cereal of your choice eaten with milk and... CHOPSTIKS!
Well it takes about five extra minutes to eat but it's really fun and makes you be creative.

What's wrong with bread as breakfast? It's tasty, nutricious and it makes you chew! And you can be creative with endless kinds of toppings! Yeah, bread rules...

Cereal without milk... oh the humanity!

We'll announce later who won the office betting pool on how many minutes it would take for someone here to whine about the newest advert.
The most humorous part is that, the more complaints there are about a banner running here, the more sales it makes. You all buy the heck out of anything you have complaints about, but none of you ever patronize the companies whose banners you don't object to.

Nice generalizations you made there. Actually, I don't buy products from companies that I feel have bad business practices. I never shop at Hot Topic, Walmart, and Starbucks.
That AFI banner is awful and I will make sure to avoid buying their generic sounding album. This is supposed to be a 'bone chilling literary website' not a 'Oh my gawth those guys are hot in that banner so I will be buying their album!' site.
