Soccer World Championship!
Hurray! The World Championship has started, and we (The Netherlands) have won our first match against Servia and Montenegro with 1-0!
However we still have some tough matches to go... at least one against Argentinia...
Anyone else into soccer or the WC?
Who will win this time? Brazil again... or maybe The Netherlands...?
Or will it be Togo...

Well, Niels hunny, I'm supporting the Netherlands! My hubby's supporting England, but then he would... I can't be bothered to watch all the games, just the ones with Arsenal players in the team.
Shallow or what?!

Australia - 3
Japan - 1
OH YEAH! Out of the cup for 70-odd years (I think...), and back with a vengance!
(Yes, I was up until 1o'clock last night, watching the match...)

Heh. I just taped it. Goes to show how much of a soccer fan I am, really.
Great match though! Most amazing comeback ever!

It's Serbia, not Servia.
Congrats!

Yeah I was wondering that. Silly me. I knew it was either 1970-somthing or 1930-somthing.
Whoops!

Woeth Ireland, for not only did we not qualify but Ivory Coast (the team everyone is supporting because it's flag is the Irish one upside down) was beaten 2-1 by Argentina...

I work in a pub.
A bloke's pub.
A very hot, non-air-conditioned bloke's pub...
Just one of many reasons I hate the world cup. (Not a football fan... this summer, even less so.)

I'm already half-crazy because of all the fuss about the WC, and our country isn't even in it. I don't want to imagine how bad it would be if we really were in it, I would probably move to a country that doesn't have a single football team.
Is there a non-football-country? Would there be such a heavenly thing? *hoping*
(WC means toilet, and I actually think that's funny - see, that's what I mean by half-crazy!)

I have no idea of it's location, but if you actually find it, please, please, let me know...
I feel drowned in stupidity.

I'm sorry Croatia is not.
It was a good game, though.

Yahuh
I'm damn glad it was too. I wouldn't have been happy if I'd gotten up at 5am for a disappointment.

I don't think Graham Poll will be too busy from now on. I've seen him ref Arsenal matches, and he didn't seem that much of a pillock...

And France are through. But that would be down to goals scored by a couple of Arsenal boys. (ok, one of 'em's ex-Arsenal, I know!)

There seems to be a contest going on between clothing stores right now: Who can sell the ugliest football-shirts in the world?
I saw something great though, it was a tank-top with "j'aime mon mec, mais pas le foot" written on it. That means "I love my guy, but not football'. It made me smile.

Where can I find this lovely one?
Even if I don't have a boyfriend, it doesn't matter, no-one in London will understand.
On le trouve sur le net tu crois?

Sais pas, je l'ai trouvé dans une boutique qui s'appelle 'Pimkie', je ne sais pas s'il se trouve aussi en Angeleterre ou en France.
Wow, my French is getting pretty bad, I haven't practiced it for ages!
