Tekajo- From the looks of it you have a colt AR, Mid length and what looks to be a BSA red dot on there.

From the pic it looks like a nice weapon, could you get a bit closer so I can see some details.

Tell me, which bullet weight do you use?

Not sure if these pictures will help. i'll take more when i have a better camera around if need be.
One
Two
Three
Condition is not all that great at the moment. Nothing some cleaning can't fix.
The gun is not "mine" yet. At the moment it belongs to my best friend. He got it from his dad who...is a felon and can no longer have guns. This weapon was used in situations that most likely rendered it "illegal".
We don't have any ammo for it so it's not been fired since coming to my friend.

Keeping on topic...i'm not a nerd...i'm a geek.

i think.

Tekajo- Was the weapon taken by the police and then handed over to the son after the courts were finished?

If you want to make it more reliable and if you haven't spent a lot of money on it.... you could go this route...

That is most certainly a decent weapon!
My favorite, the .223 AR-16.

I agree, that's the reason I included the link.

From what I've heard it makes things alot easier with the AR-15 platform.

But if the legalities are a major issue (To me they would be )

You might want to try an AR-15 build.

R.R.A. (Rock River Arms) is the best as far as cost, workmanship and parts. (From what I've heard)

I've still got a few ideas on the board about what to build as for the AR platform.

Ditto, although I have my nerdy moments, when it comes to academia I know fairly well, and I'm trying to learn more about computers currently.

Saya, if you truly want to learn about computers, be it hardware or software, then i suggest getting yourself a mistress machine.

Best place to find one is in the seedier parts of town. Pawn shops to be exact. Usually they are fairly cheap.

With your mistress machine you can do things you wouldn't normally do to your other computer. Poke and prod inside and out. Install various operating systems...and then give it horrible viruses. Then fix said viruses. Or kick the machine down the hallway when the powersupply starts smoking and fries the motherboard, hard drive, and video card.

Hands on knowledge is great.

I'm looking out for one, although most machines I find in second hand stores are from the eighties/early nineties, with DOS on them, newer computers in pawn shops are Dells and a little outside my budget. My uncle says he can build me a desktop for $200 dollars, but knowing he'd put that much time and work into it would make me loathe intentionally giving it a virus ^_^

I'm still kicking myself for taking Webmaster in high school rather than a class that taught how to take a computer apart and all about the fun pieces inside. Maybe once I can take more courses I'll take Computer Science. Until then all I can do is play with my laptop while being very careful not to break it.
