Weepingblood: M'dear, I understand the urge, I understand the want, but there are better ways. Trust me if anything Goths are advocating against self harm and suicide.
If you want to get rid of the emotions get some and just run. That'll help and the endorphins aren't bad either. Or stop caring. It's your decision to give a flying fuck.
I suggest writing terribly cliched Mary-Sues of you conquering them in a dramatic battle of words.
I believe the idea of "balls and sass" is the best for you right now, even if you only sass them in your head. I can pull it off because the people who harass me are afraid of me, and that's typically why people harass you. They are ignorant and afraid.
Which ties into the original post. The driver is ignorant and intolerant, he should be fired if he's going to let ignorance affect him in that way.
Personally, I wouldn't be on a leash in public, and I wouldn't do that to my mate in public, BUT it's their life and the girl is happy.

I feel kind of embarrassed. Mostly amused, though.

I love how these two pasty cumstains on the sheets of humanity are likening this to a hate crime AND engaged while living on UK welfare.

ETA: An Eccentric Cellist, you're later than I am with the weepingblood incident, she's bawwing about us in her inevitable suicide note.

Hi Lolly. (Get your adverbs here!) You might want to learn to toughen up a bit. I mean compassion is fine but don't be a bleeding heart.

Just watched that clip. I thought the lead thing was stupid before but after actually seeing it, words just fail me.

To the person who said it was illegal in the US to deny someone services because of their dress, etc., I think that only applies if you are a public business. If your company is privatly owned, I think you are allowed to.

Back in the late 90's, I was thrown out of a Six Flags amusement park because of the studded belt and studded collar I was wearing. About 6 months later, at a DIFFERENT Six Flags, I was told I would have to remove my leather jacket or leave the park, because my jacket had studs on it.

lol, it also reminds me of when I was in London on vacation, and I tried to go to a strip club with my husband. They refused to let me in because they said I had "too many tattoos". The door man said that if I put on a long sleeved shirt to cover them up, they would let me in.

*chuckle* Great clip there. He's got a pretty damn good point though
"what is normal?"
I was thinking today about these two and wondered what would the driver had said if that Dani guy asked "define freak?"
If what they dressed in is normal to them then maybe what the driver is dressed in makes him a freak.

An alien comes to earth.
Why do we call it an alien?
Maybe we are the aliens to it.

You get my point.

I still don't get it tho. But meh what ever floats their boat

I may be alone in saying this, but I actually thought the collar-and-leash thing was cool, personally.

But, then again, maybe even among Goths, I'm an oddity.

I actually stumbled upon a separate article (http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/pr/fr/-/2/...ord/7204543.stm) before seeing this forum, and found it odd.

I think the leash thing is a separate sexual fetishism that the media is confusing as part of the goth subculture. They are actually two separate things, obviously, the only common denominator being that neither are accepted by the mainstream.

A strip club? A STRIP CLUB had issues with your appearance? That... is bizarre.

I think these people are just plain dumb and thirsty for a bit of attention. I personally would be embarrassed to come on the news and speak about my bedroom habits.

Uhm...this had nothing to do with bedroom habits. O.o..

The girl always wanted a guy to lead her around on a leash. It looks a little bizarre, admittedly, but it's not a dirty or seductive thing, from what I understood.

Besides, no matter how weird someone looks, it's wrong to deny them passage on public transportation unless they are doing something that could cause harm to themselves or others...which wasn't the case here.
