The Help Thread
Why, hello, all.
I couldn't find a thread on getting help and advice anywhere, but if there is one, I appologise.
But for now, here's a thread for people to ask for help on any small, or large, problems they have from the intelligent people of Gnet.
Right, my problem:
What should I do about my stalker ex-boyfriend?
Peace out.

Shoot him? Ok, no.
Have you tried talking to the police? It's even better if you can get a friendly policeman (friendly to you, I mean) to just talk to your boyfriend. That should scare the boyfriend enough to leave you alone.

Call the cops. That always works. If that doesn't, do what angel11 said.

i carry a brick in my bag for my psycho ex boyfriend. he follows me to the station EVERY day...my lucky brick will protect me. but i also know that psycho ex boyfriends dont stop at following you. so if he leaves dodgy phone messages, when he calls you, get a guy to answer the phone. that usually shocks them into realising you have a life. if he goes to your house, make sure he knows he's fucking with the wrong person...everytime he's near your house (as much as it pains me to say it) call the pigs! but there are two main things you need to remember: Protect yourself at any cost!
Dont show him he's getting to you!

Alright.
Let's see if you can settle this one, once and for all:
Who pays on a date?

Haha! I always insist on paying. I think you should always offer yourself to pay; not so much as an arbitrary gender role, but for the sake of the romantic and almost lost acts of chivalry.
Now; she might say that she wants to pay her part of the dinner. If so, you could insist once more with a reason like "Why complicate with making calculations?" or even a "Nay, that's why I'm here for."
But if she insists once more, offering yourself once more is more than awkward; it's just not right.

Take turns, perhaps. I pay sometimes, my bf pays sometimes. It always balances out, and means that no one is left feeling obliged one way or the other.

i agree...we take turns...on occasion its ok to insist on picking up he bill...and if we're drinking i always buy the first and last rounds...
i hate those silly gender roles...
my bf is at home during the day, and i work during the day...its just for the sake of who takes care of our "kids"...his job allows him to work nights.
