Ah, okay. I didn't know that Plato's Closet was a chain-type of thing.

Hmm, let's see Forever21 and Gojane(dot)com.
Though that's mostly because you can find sexy shirts for a good price.
I just use accessories to dress it up a bit.

Probably Makeup Store and the Salvation Army... :/ Not counting fabric shops and yarn shops... I prefer to make my own clothes.

Target, Macy's, H&M, Old Navy, GAP, Forever 21, Sephora, Icing, Boscov's. I'm guilty of shopping at Hot Topic, too.

Burton's my favourite shop, and that's just stylish clothes. I don't dress Goth.

There's not really any good stores here to buy clothes at, usually you have to go to Salt Lake City for clothes shopping, or for other things.

There are no Goth stores in my entire state, I don't think. There might be one in Portland, but that's 3 hours away. So I mostly shop at Goodwill or Wallmart. I did get a nice pair of black pants at the Gap. My girlfriend likes Charlotte Rousse, but some of their clothes are really Goth looking. And sometimes we go to Hot Topic, but mostly just to kill time if we are at the mall. I've never bought anything from a Goth store online, either.

I make the most of my sisters Topshop discount, H&M, Matalan and a few local charity shops. I usually get basic stuff from supermarkets.

There aren't many goth stores around where I'm from. There's a good store in Derry, about an hour away, that sells band merchandise, but apart from buying a bracelet I don't purchase anything else there.
I usually just pop into a charity shops - there's plenty of them closeby. I recently bought a really nice skirt for £2.

So the 'ungothiest' store would probably be something like The Heart Foundation.

Mine is Walmart. I'm a "plus sized" girl, and most plus sized stores aren't particularly gothy. You can find the occasional thing in there that you can make your own. But usually, its all ol' fat grandma stuff, with teddybears and flowers on it.

Im not big on Hot Topic. beside the fact we don't have one here in Halifax, I never found the quality all that great. I'd order in accessories if I found something I like, but never clothing. We do have "d-tox", which is basically the same thing. It has some cute stuff now and again, if you're willing to pay the arm and a leg it costs.

Wet seal because its cheap and easy to modify and fits the right way.
Target to has some nice plain t-shirts
And yes i shall admit to hot topic as much as i bow my head in shame.
I do get some accesories from claires when i dont feel like ordering of the internet.
But to me it doesnt really matter where i get it as long as i like it or can make it pretty.

I buy most of my apparel online, from such places as ccs.com, ebay, etc.
However, I do wear the occasional A&F, Polo if they're comfy, not much though.

Since I'm in the UK, you probably won't know the shops I mention but here goes...

For clothing: Marks & Spencers, Primark, Next (you'd be surprised how much can be used for goth clothing from these places)
For general stuff: Tesco, Home Bargains (home bargains sometimes gets some absolute gems for goths, and they are usually cut price) Tesco normally has combats quite cheap, which I wear to work.

I do an entirely goth wardrobe, from entirely mainstream stores. The only 'goth shop' I know round here is not within my price, size, or geographical range. To properly answer the question though, perhaps Torrid? Occasionally they have cute things on their clearance rack, and occasionally said clearance rack is an extra 40% off.

Most of my shopping is done at Goodwill, but I consider that quite goth... Just me? XD

Didn't mean for clothes. But they do occasionally get stuff in suitable for Goths. Halloween is always a good time in there, as well as in Poundland.

First. I personally think any place where you can get an entirely awesome outfit for under $20 is completely goth, so that would be just about every thrift store. Since I've bought Lip Service at resale shops, I would count them as well.

I'm also completely with you on making your wardrobe from none goth style stores. I think it shows the true extent of your ability and style when you have some thing amazing on and you can say "Yeah, I found this at Banana Republic for $4."
