[insert awesomely original way of saying hi]
Hi, everyone, sorry about the cheesy title. My new alias is zebra, I'm 21 and a girl. I don't really want to fill out the introduction form because I can't decide what my favorite movie is or what I like to wear the most or how I would like to die. I think that it is sufficent to say that I have a very eclectic and varied range of tastes. So, in lieu of the formal intro, I will tell a story.
Once upon a time, not too long ago, I, zebra, could very possibly be observed rocking out solely to MTV-esque radio. Ignorance is bliss, right? Well, no, as I soon discovered I felt something missing from my overplayed-pop-music-hell. My music life lacked substance, until I somehow stumbled upon the Sisters of Mercy. My first reaction was,"E-gad! What is this horribly creepy concoction!" But then I listened again. To make a short story shorter, I have since retired from listening to all of those silly pop songs and have moved on to better things. I now enjoy quite the variety of music (with some of my old favorites, though): Sisters of Mercy, Sonic Youth, Rasputina, Emilie Autumn, The Cure, Nirvana, Radiohead, Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bauhaus, Cold War Kids, Within Temptation, Sia, Sondre Lerche, The Smiths, etc. and lots of random songs by random people. My favorite song of the moment is actually Bauhaus' "Crowds." I really enjoy finding new cool music (well new for me anyway) which is the main reason I joined.
So, anyway, if you saw me on the street, you probably wouldn't say that I'm goth, but then again it's all about the music, right?
Please don't flame the ignorant newbie,
zebra
P.S. Any music suggestions?

I feel you might like Propagandhi for some reason. As for goth bands, maybe Frank the Baptist and The Deep Eynde?
Anyway, welcome. I like how you talk.

Seriously, the combination of temporary tattoos, stripy gum and a variety of flavors in one pack should put Fruit Stripe at the top of the gum category. Unfortunately, the low bubble potential and short-lived flavor knock it down quite a few levels. I remember I used to chew almost a whole pack at once.
Anyway, thanks everyone for the welcome.

Hi. Thats about all I got in the arsenal of introductions. I'm a newb as well just trying to meet interesting people. Have to say your introduction was original and unique. Which is better than mine. Never was any good at coloring within the lines I suppose. Well I just wanted to say hello and I've done that so I shall end this gracefully, I suppose. More like a dragged out painful fizzle now.

You want an Original Way of Saying hi?.....
Sad Day for you I can't think of one...
Normaly I would probably come up with something that had to to with Masturbation, a bungie cord, and a set of needle and thread....
but it is officialy 4:17am were I am....I am not in the mood to be Random...or perverted...or even sitting here right now...
But I am bored....Can't sleep...lonely because my Girlfriend Broke up with me a month ago leaving me lonely....
I am 19 3/4....my name is Gabrial...and right now...
I can't think straight....

Welcome!!
let me guess. You've read through a couple of 'popular' thread started here, the introduction board, which the starter was flamed for improper actions.
Right ?

Big welcomes! I don't know much about you apart from music tastes (I don't really like much goth music), but Radiohead and verbal coherence... yeah, I like you.
