I think telling them what you want to see them in and letting them choose is appropriate. That way they can spend what they can afford to, because they have to get a wedding gift, too, ya know?

I also think it's 100% ok to ask for a picture so you can pre-approve it. I think it's a good way of letting your wedding be your wedding without being a crazy rabid bride.

G.NET. I have to go to Benidorm tomorrow for a hen party. It will involve travelling and staying wth 15 other women, most of which are late 30's - middle aged rabid drinkers who like gold jewellery, soap operas and finding a young man to grab at.

That does sound like a pretty nice balance between my inner control freak and not wanting to be a strain on my bridesmaids, thanks.

I recommend tonsillitis (or whatever its called) that includes a bleeding throat. All in all I coughed up somewhere around two pints of blood. Fortunately it stopped there -- had it continued a trip to the emergency room was next on the list.

So. Why do I now regret not taking pictures om myself, mouth overflowing with foaming fresh dark red blood? I may need a psychiatrist.

But first, to sleep. Bleeding leaves one ever so tired.

Woot the save the dates are out, only 2 weeks later than I wanted. Other than that I'm actually ahead of schedule, which is good cuz I move at the end of May so chances are I'm not going to get much more done until after the move.

I have survived Lloret de mar. The people in the hotel however may not have survived the sight of my wig. I looked like a cross beween Lily Savage and a bleached Amy Winehouse. In a shortish black dress and dark green tights.

I managed to really alarm 4 old Spanish people in a lift. They obviously weren't expecting to be confronted with the sight of a 6'8 (ish) drag queen looking large woman in a huge wig ! I wish to god I'd taken a picture of their faces when the doors opened . It was bloody priceless. I still got in the lift though! They were all laughing and talking to me, and though I don't speak or understand a word of Spanish I'm fairly certain the jist of it was " bloody hell that's a massive hairdo, you're about 20 feet tall "

Mission accomplished.
