Hey, I was talking about my EX's issue with projection. It was just kind of a tacked on comment at the end of my post. I believe it's the kind of thing some men and women are guilty of, but I did not in any way mean to imply I was saying I thought that this applied to you.

As far as I am concerned, I don't see any reason you needed to apologize. I can't even figure out what I was supposed to be offended by, so if I were you I wouldn't even worry about it!

This has come up before, so I want to address it here in light of Ophelia's recent posts.

If you have a drinking problem, quitting drinking for a week or two might tell you something.

If you are an alcoholic, quiting drinking for a week, a month, even a year will not tell you anything or get you any closer to dealing with the problem.

Ophelia, please, please, PLEASE get professional help.

Group meetings aren't really my kinda thing.

I know AA/NA is pretty lame. However, it can get you pointed in a better direction.
But I doubt that it will work itself out, seeing as how you've made posts about your alcohol problems for quite some time now. :/

Not meaning to sound like a nagging bitch UO, but if you aren't looking into AA and aren't really open to the idea of personal therapist either, than how do you plan to get your help?

Ben didn't take anything by your comment. I appreciated your words, and I never knew there was that sort of projection.

I was apologising because I'd written some nasty stuff on another thread (picture post one) about Duckman, and I had been way too harsh on Mr Bat who has no control over his health problems.

Plus I think I was guilt tripping a little (as I tend to do after losing my cool)... but all is better because I just went out hooning in my car with Blink 182 blaring on the stereo (I don't know why All the small things makes me feel better. Maybe it just reminds me that everything in life is small).

I agree about getting help with substance abuse.

The bird totally mangled my left thumb this morning with her beak. I might need a stitch or two. I've tried to take the bandage off a couple times already and it will start bleeding profusely if I move it too much. She got me on the top of the hand and bottom of my wrist too but not as badly. Might post pictures of the damage. Some of you may have fun seeing it!
