Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

The only bands I really like there are Vice Squad, Discharge, Amebix and occasionally The Exploited.
Chaos UK are meant to be good but I've never listened to them.
My mum used to live with them so that's where I know about them.
They worth a listen?
EDIT: UK Decay are also pretty cool.

I've gotta say, they sound fucking awesome.
You heard of The Disrupters?
They're an anarcho band that come from where I live.
They're fucking amazing live.

If you like D-Beat, VARUKERS are a must. I find them to be highly underrated. Also, Youtube has the complete "Power From Hell" Album by ONSLAUGHT, link:
http://www.youtube.com/view_play_lis...AE19F1E5B33CEB
They started out as a Discharge/GBH style punk band in 1983, but during this period (1985) incorporated more thrash, good stuff!

Their singer sings for Discharge now.

Nothing wrong with that, I'm in the same boat, but hey I'm learning. Man, it makes me sad to think about what I thought punk was a year ago...

Honeythorn:
It's ok not to know much, hey I've been in it for 4 years and am still learning about bands and the scene. Thats the nice think about goth, punk, ect, the scene is so old and deep there are thousands of bands!
I will teach you both!
Today's video is from The Exploited's crossover thrash period, but still good!

I greatly prefer their Punk to their Thrash.

Yup, The Guitarist of Discharge went and started Broken Bones and the singer from The Virus went and founded Cheap Sex.
Small world.

To each their own, but I love them guys. One of the first grind/crust bands I ever listened to.

I'm not really into grind.
I like bands such as Antischism, Antisect, Nausea, Selfish and Tragedy though.
Not really sure what they fit into exactly.

Antisect is one of the first crust punk bands from the UK and the rest are excellent crust punk bands from the USA. Today's video is from Heresy, awesome band:

Aah.
I didn't know were they where from.
I just know the music's pretty cool and the singer from Antisect kinda looks like George Michael.
Edit: You into any anarcho?

Aaah, sweet man.
I was gonna see Flux at the Feeding Of The 5000 but we got tickets for the day before instead.
Ended up seeing Conflict and The Disrupters instead.
I don't really like Conflict, but they were fucking amazing live.
Along with The Disrupters there's another band called Contempt who are kinda local to me.
Same sorta anarcho/UK82.
You'd like them.
