I don't think it's possible for people to actually kiss *through* the gothic.net server, but I'll take a safe bet and go ahead and say I'm against it. It might break something.
That being said, if people try to curb flirting of any kind (whether between single people or between people who are already together) I swear maybe half the posts would be gone...and the place would be quite dull.

Y'know, coming down to it, most of my PDA around here is pretty evenly distributed across all the members I am friends with to some degree. It tends to feed into the specific prejudice which started this thread - no complaints all along, until the object of Bexxle's most apparent disaffection began waxing rhapsodic. Hm.
In the end - the whole sluttiness bit was even a part of my recent sabbatical. I get a bit bored with certain people's ideas about me, so I quit offering them my presence. Nebulous, unfounded antagonism never has appealed to me.
But the whole sluttiness thing is what brings me online, too. Reaching out. I dig people (most of the time). So you take the good with the bad. You're never going to be able to 'control' most of us. So you decide what you will tolerate, and what the payoff/cost is. THen you figure whether it's worthwhile.
For me - mostly, it is. When people who don't know me display pointless antipathy, the effect tends to have about the same weight as it source, and the 'net ain't my heaviest bag. I have to decide, now and again, how much certain things "really" mean. Same goes with the other vagaries of being online ...

I'd beg to disagree. Flirting would definitely be PDA, that is, it's a public display of affection. I can't really see defining it as something different.
