Yes they're a very large tropical cichlid. That must have been a hell of a tank!

I had a chihuahua too! I got her when I was twelve, she still lives with Mom. She's going on sixteen years old now, lost a lot of her teeth but the vet says she'll most likely live to see twenty. She's so pathetic its adorable. she'll shake and shiver and give you puppy dog eyes until you pick her up and cuddle.

I know ^.^ My chihuahua is 11 now and he also lost most of his teeth but he still is hyper most of the time and eats A LOT but he never gets fat.My friends think I'm torturing him or something cuz he shivers all the time and he's really skinny but that's the way he is.All chihuahuas are like that.

I want one of these

I would have loved a bat when I was younger, I was obsessed with them. But that's illegal here.

One of my friends has three or four tarantulas, a couple of pythons and corn snakes, and some praying mantis.

Yes but how many gallons? You need a good...75-100 gallons per Oscar ( you always ALWAYS get a tank to fit the ADULT size of the fish you're going to keep ) , so getting on for 300 gallons , and at least 2 big professional external filters to run the bugger! Your house must be huge to fit a tank like that! O.O

A ton of water fills a cubic metre. Or a metric ton does anyway. So that's like 220 gallons.

That's...do-able...ish ( 300 is far preferable) . Though to be fair if the area you live in is hot, you could pretty much keep them outside in a large pond the same way Koi are kept .

I don't know entirely, might've been half a ton. Had 3 oscars, and a load of goldfish, little ones.

Exotic Pets?

Well i have a guiny pig that i fricken swear can be mistaken as Spike from the Gremlins, No Joke. It has the mohawk and everything! I cant help but laugh every time i see it.That really isnt exotic though...

I always thought a baby seal would be incredibly cute to have!

Or a wolf. A wolf would be nice.

It is, actually. XD
Terrapin Hedgehogs.. Stasi is AWESOME. She has such sweet hedgies.

He was SO easy.. I had him litter box trained, so I used these cloth cage liners. He was quiet, odor-free (unlike my ferret), and so snuggly. I miss him very much. D':
He passed away very suddenly, from pneumonia.

When my family lived in Indonesia we had two slow lorises. I can't remember how we ended up with them, I think they were rescued from somewhere and we took them in. They just hung around in an enclosure out the back of our houses and barely did anything. Booooring, that's all I remember about them.

Far more exciting was the orangutan called Dolly that lived with a metallurgist at the mine site my dad worked at. I wouldn't call her a pet because she lived just like everyone else did, but you could call her exotic I guess. We were best friends until she was taken away to a second rate rehabilitation centre, got released too early and ended up dying out in the wild.

If I had the opportunity to live with an orangutan again I totally would, provided it wasn't able to survive in the wild since obviously they're happier there. A monkey would be awesome, too. I've had many a great time with baby monkeys. Trouble is when they grow up they become increasingly mischievous and crave socialisation with their own kind.

Are you able to become a carer for injured bats through a wildlife rescue agency?

I should think so, I remember other people doing that. I was about 10 at the time though.
