once more unto the breach ... i guess ...
my other intro thread has been shoveled down to pits where the Morlocks defacate. and it's been so long since i've posted on this board that i might just as well start over ... see if anyone besides Corpsey, Ophelia, and HumanePain remembers me. here's the vitals ...
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
i'm a writer suffering from the excrutiating ennui of a vapid minded and visual media addicted century culture. i also follow politics, baseball, and history which makes me a real joy to be around at parties.
2. Where are you from?
the bottom of the world ... the swamps of Florida.
3. Who is your favorite author?
my favorite poet is Czeslaw Milosz. My favorite writer of fiction is a toss between Ray Bradbury, Jack Kerouac, Joyce Carol Oates, and Charles Bukowski. and don't let me forget about this cat named Shakespeare.
4. What are your favorite films?
i prefer independent cinema, many of which contain english subtitles.
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
too late.
6. At your funeral?
either Who Wants to Live Forever by Queen, 99 Red Balloons by Nena, or Mr. Roboto by Styx.
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
surrounded by loved ones and illuminated by fireflies. and i do want the 99 red balloons to be launched.
8. What kind of casket would you want?
something made from recycled soda pop bottles.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
i'm not such a trendy Goth because I tend to favor athletic baseball jerseys.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
irresponsibility.
11. What's your favorite band?
Bad Religion, Green Day, and The Peanut Butter Conspiracy.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
i have two college degrees both of which are superflous in the 21st century. but one of introduced me to classical "Gothicism" ... figure it out.
13. Why did you join?
because i was too fucking old to be a boy scout.
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
i'm not telling. america is a land of tolerance. in i don't have a gender, then what's it to you?
also, i'm voting Obama even if i do like Sarah Palin, i'd love to live in New England or return permanently to Western Europe, and I like writing in green
