I went snowboarding for the first time today. It was frustrating at times but a lot of fun. I spent more time falling than traveling but managed to walk away at the end of the day. Saw a couple of people who weren't so lucky. Still, I did fall a lot - a few too many times perhaps. There are now points on my body that hurt that I never knew could be hurt. Serves me right for trying to "go" before I could "stop".
But hey that's me - jump in full force and the damage be damned.
Oh - and for the gothy posers who say snowboarding isn't goth enough to be posted on gothynet - my pants, jacket, gloves, boots, and underclothes were all black. Take that, bitches

When I got back from spending a month in Mexico this year, I was sick until...
Oh wait... I'm still kind of sick (NO it is NOT VD... I was tested for that twice after I got back, thank you very much)...
Anyway, whenever you read those old stories when someone talks about having a lasting effect from "some malady I caught in the islands", I always thought that was bunk. But now I know it's true.
So anyway, it's important to think about the fact that whenever you travel, you should remember that the germs in the place you're going are different from the germs at home and you may get something you can't shake.
Hooray for going abroad! One more perk of international travel!
